RIP lisa, we grew up together playing in HTH. When we went to Frederick Douglass she would sing a song called Rocking Chair........And she would be serious(those who knew her knew that was next to impossible). She had the biggest heart, i often thought about her. I know your sitting in God's rocking chair. Stay strong fellas thats what lisa would have wanted.

I also went to high school with Malissa and lost track of her after that. She would make me laugh so hard and I always considered her one of my best friends. I've thought of her often over the years and was extremely sad when I heard of her passing. I was happy to read others in adulthood got to know her, and her sense of humor. She was something special and will deffinitely be missed by all who knew her. God bless her family for they have the greatest loss of all of us. GODSPEED on your new journey Malissa!

I worked with Malissa at Strong. The thing I remember the most is the love she had for her children, Cowboy and Missy. She talked about them all the time and her eyes always lit up the way only a parent's could. I will miss her laugh, her sense of humor and her kind heart that always, always put her family first. You will be missed here on earth Malissa, but I know you will be a shining star in the sky, a very bright light in heaven. My sincerest condolances to Missy, Cowboy, Carol and family.

My heart goes out to the family of Malissa. She was a wonderful person with a big heart. I got to know her as a co-worker and also a friend. She would do anything for those she loved. She was full of spirit and always made me laugh. I have so many good memories of her and she will never, ever be forgotten. Although gone in the flesh, she remains in my heart.

I was saddened to hear of Malissa's passing. When I think of her, I always hear her laughing. We worked together in the Outreach Department at Strong Memorial Hospital. She would enter the room with "Who's your daddy?!". When country star Toby Keith came out with the song "Who's Your Daddy?" in 2002 I recorded it and gave it to Malissa. I think it was her first introduction to country music! We laughed and had a good joke about it. I still think of her when I hear that song.
I know that she is now up in heaven with the Daddy of them all. Peace to you Malissa. We still think of you at work and reminence with a smile on our face (and hearty laughter too!)
Peace to all the family.....

You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Melissa was definitely one of a kind. She was always full of spunk and kept us laughing at work even on a bad day. She knew how to run the Courier Services at Strong even when the drivers would try to be slick. Melissa will be missed but she will always be a part of everyone that knew her. Blessings to her family during this time.
