Hi Sherry, Today is the 30th anniversary of Heidi's passing, and tomorrow is the 1st anniversary of you leaving us. I miss you both so much more than words can say. I wanted to give you a little family update - oldest to youngest. Grace and I are having our kitchen completely remodeled. They have been working on it for a week, and we expect to be without it for another month. Believe it or not, the hardest thing, is not having a sink. We have waited 30 years, and it will be beautiful when it is complete. Grace and I will be celebrating our 40th wedding (you were in the wedding party) anniversary on 9/27. We are having a Mass said in the morning and the priest is going to bless our vows. Then in the afternoon, we are flying to Biloxi for a little 3 day R&R. Have not been there since before Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Matthew and Jeannette are still in El Paso, and doing fine. Matt still competes in Ironman competion.
Chris and Laurie and Aidan are still in Columbia SC. They are coming for a visit in October. They are also doing some house remodeling
Patrick and April and Savannah bought a house here in Tampa, and it is only 2 miles from ours, so we see them all the time. Savanaah is up to almost 19 lbs, and is trying to crawl. Pretty good since she started out at 2 lbs 11 oz.
Rebecca is teaching HS Biology in Baltimore and really enjoying it. Chris had a meeting in Gaithersburg today, and will be spending the night visiting Rebecca.
All the kids are coming home for Thanksgiving, and me and the 3 boys will be going to the South Florida - Miami football game together.
That's all for now. Please know that I really miss you and love you. I wish you were still here so I could talk with you. Jan.

Hi Everyone,
Last night I ran in the Aquathon at Durand Eastman Park. The swim portion of the race was cancelled due to thunderstorms. It was supposed to be run 2.5k, swim 1k, run 2.5k; but was changed to running. At any rate, for some dumb reason I tried to keep up with the better runners only to fade out and die (sand is hard to run in!). Right as I stop to walk (and breathe!) I hear Sherry hollaring at me "I told you to pace yourself....run smart...you can do it...just go slow!" I just have to laugh because I always do so well if I just listen to my run coach and now angel Sherry!
Team Grasshopper is going strong. Joannie and her daughter Shelly(Sherry is Shelly's godmother) competed in the Musselman triathelon last Sat. Joannie placed 2nd in her age group. Joannie and Shelly are competing in the Irongirl Tri this weekend. We will all do the Sodus Point Tri and Canandaigua later this summer. We all defer to Sherry as the "Master" of our team and we quote her coaching tips often.

Aunt Sherry,
I am wrapping up a month of classes in California. I was accepted into a wonderful program to learn to use plants in my classroom. I did so many things while I was out here, including going to Vegas. I have thought of you often this trip and all the things I would have normally shared with you. You would have loved me taking on this adventure.
A lot has happened since you left. Somehow it occured to me that I grew up. Thanks to you I am now a homeowner (well, 25% of a home anyhow) and on stable footing. Thank you.
You are loved missed by a lot of people. I heard that KP and some other folks stopped by your house to help out with the lawn. Patrick, April, and Savannah will be up in the fall and I am hoping to join them. Too bad you were gone before she and Patrick arrived. She is beautiful and I am sure you and Patrick have been looking out for her.

Dear Sherry,
I know that you and Larry must be celebrating his birthday today after 18 long years apart. I remember how you would always call him on his birthday and then how you and I would email each other on this day and talk about how much we missed him. I have been thinking of you and missing you so much lately. I think of emailing you so often sometimes just to tell you about the winter weather in Buffalo and compare notes with Rochester and then I remember…that you’re not there.
Give Larry a kiss for me and enjoy your celebration.
Love, O. (Olivia)

Jan,
I knew Sherry at D'Youville and we lost touch after graduation. I am so saddened to hear of her passing. My husband died just over a year ago and I truly feel your pain and loss. Sherry was always such a joy to be around and was always very giving to all around her. I know that your wonderful grandchildren will be a source of great comfort Please accept my condolences. .

Sherry-I miss you so much...I miss you each and everyday, but the times that I miss you the most are when I am out walking Digby and Mocha...it's just not the same without you. This morning I walked alone and all I could think about was that you are supposed to be here with me and the girls. I have been walking alot with Cathy and Azure, Sara, Syd and Elly..they are all doing well. Last night we went to see Wynnona Judd...you were supposed to be there with us....KP went with us..we really missed you however it was great to have her there. Sherry, I can't even explain what a void you have left in my life. You were a great friend. Love you- Bambi

Hi Sherry, Yesterday was a great day for the Emrich's. Grace and I are the proud grandparents of 2 new babies. The twins were born to Patrick and April on Thursday November 6, 2008. Patrick Christian was first at 12:34 PM weighing 1 lb 7 oz and measuring 12.5 inches. Savannah Grace came at 12:35 PM weighing 2 lb 11 oz and measured 15 inches. Both babies are in the NICU, but are breathing on their own which is great. As you can see, they are very small and need all the prayers they can get. I wish you were here to see them

Sherry, Just wanted to let you know that I miss you very much. I miss talking to you and I miss going antique shopping with you. Saturday night Grace & I were sitting out by the pool, and I told her, "this is normally the time I would call Sherry" - but you are not there any more. Please know that I love you very much. BTW, both the Bills and the Bucs won on Sunday, and are both in 1st place. Also, the Tampa Bay Rays won the American League title and are in the Woirld Series. Please watch over us all, and thank you for all you did for the kids.

Sherry, I was shocked and saddened to hear of your untimely passing. I remember meeting you @ Family Medicine back in the 70's. We shared fun times together @ Iggyy's & The Elmwood Inn, did the "single scene" in style! Good times skiing; XC @ Mendon Ponds, downhill @ Holiday Valley, & that "Blizzard experience" @ Kissing Bridge (met the Sabres). I still laugh over our vacation adventures; "Riding High Hy" horse ranch, Cape May NJ, Big Moose Lodge, & tenting on Virginia Beach. We shared so many good times, & many sad ones. I wish our friendship had endured, but understand why it could not. I admire you for living as fully as possible, despite your health issues & personal losses. Goodbye for now.... Gail Robinson

Where to begin about Sherry. I will first say that she was one of my Mom's best friends for many years and for that I am SO GRATEFUL. I lost my Mom in January and it was as if Sherry took my sister and I under her loving wing. Her hugs were inviting, and her extra tight squeeze was reassuring. Her laugh as addicting and her continous stories about my Mom and how she would glow telling them was healing. I find myself thinking of Sherry often and so looking forward to our next cucumber sandwich from Lorrain's Lunch Basket. I found myself telling several people about Sherry and always ended the sentence by saying "I just love her so much" I will truley miss her and my heart just aches right now for her and her family. My Mom always taught me to find a postive in everything and the only comforting feeling I have right now is knowing these two great friends are together again. Sherry will truley be missed. I love and miss her so much already. Until we meet again Sherry hugs and kisses and remember I believe in Angels....XOXOXOXO

Sherry;
A great smile, a greater laugh. You will be missed, not only by us human folks, but the four-legged as well. I knew you from the park, and worked with you many years ago at the health department. I still remember your little Sadie dog! Now you are with her again, and many other friends too. We will all miss you.

The Shanahan family of Maryland extends our deepest sympathy to Sherry’s family and to all of Sherry’s friends, co-workers and loved ones.
Sherry is remembered by us as a loving, caring, kind, compassionate, beautiful person. She shared with us our joys and our sorrows. It is with great sadness we mourn her passing.
We will miss her presence in our lives. We will miss her laughter, her visits with the dogs, her stories of the dogs, her laughter, her care and concern for everyone she knew and their loved ones, her love and stories of her nephews, her pride in her home and garden.
Sherry showered all of us with love and joy.

Dear Sherry,
You left us so suddenly and much too soon. We all miss you so much. I remember with great fondness, our long drives on greyhound transports. We could (and did) talk about anything. You were a ray of sunshine to all you encountered. We know in our hearts you are now on the other side of the rainbow bridge, taking good care of all the greyhounds and other pets that have passed on before us. We love you and we'll see you someday at the other end of the rainbow. Your friend always...

Sherry Ann, Even though we didn't see each other very often, we always knew you would be there for us. You meant a lot to Nanny, and you loved her too. You will be missed.
