Born in Realmonte, Sicily, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at age 83. Predeceased by his brothers, Michael and Anthony Mantisi. Joseph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Phyllis Mantisi; daughter, Michele (Chuck) Steffen; sons, Patrick "Skip" Mantisi, Rick (JoAnn) Mantisi; grandchildren, Maro (Amanda) Avallone, Nadine (Brenden) Pray, Lindsay Frank, Zachery and Mitchell Mantisi; brothers, Frank (Eleanor) Mantisi, Vincent (Domenica) Mantisi; sisters, Pauline (Salvatore) Musso, Jean (Vincent) Saieva, Margaret (Paul) Saieva; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Anthony and Rose Palermo, Pat Formicola (Lois Haight); many nieces, nephews and good friends. He will be dearly missed.
Friends may call FRIDAY from 3-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Saturday morning, October 4, friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 in St. Theodore's Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Alzheimer's Assoc., 435 East Henrietta Rd. 14620 in his memory.

Michele and Family, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Know that he is resting in Gods loving hands. Michele, I know you'll miss your Daddy but take comfort in knowing he is better now and nothings broken anymore.
