Kelly, John W.
Charlotte: Oct 3rd, 2008. After a courageous battle with cancer. born in Malone, NY on July 2,1941, He was the son of James H and Alice Otis Kelly.
John attended Malone School and upon graduation from Franklin Academy in 1959, he entered the Armed forces serving in the US Army's 3rd Infantry Division in Germany. John was employed by Eastman Kodak for 28 yrs and Pinkerton Security as Road Supervisor for 5 yrs.
Predeceased by his father James H. Kelly and 2 grandchildren, Eric and Angel. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Gloria (Lintner) Kelly; sons, John (Mary) James, Robert (Sarah) and Daniel (Sandra); 7 grandchildren, Amanda Mathew, Joey, Nicole, Jessica, Cory and Steven. His mother Alice of Malone and his sister, Shirley (Roland) of Chateaugay. John was a great lover of the outdoors and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Funeral mass will be held at Holy Cross Church on Thursday Oct. 9th at 11 am. Interment, at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gates Volunteer Fireman and Ambulance at 1600 Buffalo Rd, Rochester, NY 14624.
