Wanda, Dick, and Karen-

Sorry to just learn of the passing of a great lady. She was always so interested in Karen’s friends and activities during high school. As a “dance dad” myself, I now realize how much devotion and support it takes to be active in a daughter’s life. The standing joke among us teenaged guys was that she was the only mother with a badge and gun in her purse-watch out! As I saw her a few years ago, she was not able to speak, but her facial expressions and pantomime said it all!

In a great coincidence, I got to know Dick and Wanda through Bock Tours in later years and therefore realize how much devotion and love were there through all of the challenges. Dick is a character above characters, in no small measure because of the love of life he got from his mother.

My deepest condolences to a great family.
