Diane Grosso Obituary

Grosso, Diane Holahan
Brighton: Died September 19, 2007, after an extended and courageous, health battle. She was a beautiful woman, through and through. Diane was born in Rochester, the daughter of John and Edna Holahan. She graduated from Columbia School and Goucher College. She also attended The University of Rochester and The University of Hawaii. It was in Hawaii that she met her husband Frank, an architect. After college she taught school and some years later co-managed the Art Gallery at Sibleys. A dedicated volunteer; she was one of the first docents at The Memorial Art Gallery and a long-time member of its Womens Council. Diane was a member of the Junior League of Rochester, The Wednesday Club (two of her Wed. Club papers were published in the U of R Bulletin); The Chatterbox Club; The Rochester Garden Club and The Magnolia Twig. An avid bridge player, Diane loved playing with her friends. She is survived by her husband, Frank; her son, Christopher; her daughter-in-law, Kristin; grandchildren, Nicholas and Caroline and other, very dear, extended family and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 25 Westminster Rd. (at East Ave.) on Tuesday, September 25th at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to The Memorial Art Gallery, 500 University Ave., Rochester, NY 14607.
