West Bloomfield: William G. Yale, age 76, of West Bloomfield, went to be with the Lord Thursday, September 20, 2007. Bill was born August 13, 1931 in Wilkes Barre, PA. He is the son of the late William and Margaret Yale. Bill was a Korean War Navy Veteran and a retired Pressman with the Democrat and Chronicle and Times Union in Rochester. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who devoted his life to the attention and care of his family. He was a kind and friendly man who enjoyed his many friends. Unselfishly, he volunteered his support and service for numerous years to local youth baseball and football sports associations in the Wilkes Barre and Honeoye Falls communities. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and love of the games. Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy (Nulton) Yale; two sons, William (Elizabeth) Yale & Randy (Michelle) Yale; two daughters, Robin (Bill) Yale-Murphy & Linda Maciulis; eight loving grandchildren, Billy, Jessica, Ricky, Randy, Bobby, Lindsey, Max and Maci; a brother, Lawrence (Josephine) Yale; a sister, Margaret (Joseph) Irvin; 2 nieces & 3 nephews.
A Memorial Service to celebrate his life and mourn his passing will be held Sunday, September 30, 2007, 1:00 pm at West Bloomfield Congregational Church in West Bloomfield. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bill's name to Canandaigua VA Medical Center 400 Fort Hill Ave, Canandaigua, NY 14424 "Operation Iraqi Freedom" (for the care of injured veterans).
