Geneseo-Hemlock: Christos E. Nilsson, born November 20, 1974 died peacefully October 10, 2007 at Monroe Community Hospital in Rochester. He is survived by his parents, Joni and Peter Nilsson of Hemlock; his sisters, Nancy Nilsson of Rush, Pauline Carasquillo of Rochester, Turi Nilsson (Calvin Helmick) of Glen Burnie, MD, Rebecca D. Nilsson of Geneseo, Daniné (Sean) Dolphin of Phoenix, AZ, Shantel Nilsson (Manuel Gonzalez) of Rochester, Rita, Robbie, and Debra Nilsson all of Hemlock; his brothers, Merle (Jan) Nilsson of Orlando, FL, Rennie Nilsson (Tana Paddock) of Montreal, Que., Anthony Nilsson of NYC, Earl Nilsson (Aquilar) Tenerio of Asheboro, NC, Robert P. Nilsson (Sara Castner) of Hemlock, Daniel (Debra) Nilsson of Tonawanda, NY, Robert D. Nilsson of Binghamton, Geno Nilsson of Rochester, Daniel Orosz of Mt. Morris; his family at the Livingston Wyoming ARC and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Christos graduated from the School of the Holy Chidhood in Rochester in 1996 and was subsequently employed at the Livingston-Wyoming ARC sheltered workshop at Hilltop Industries in Mt. Morris, NY. He resided until his illness at the Second Street IRA of the Livingston-Wyoming ARC in Geneseo.
Christos was a warm and caring person with a good sense humor; he loved singing, eating, dancing, bowling, visiting Becky and watching movies and musicals. His smile and enthusiasm charmed the world.
No prior calling hours. There will be a memorial service at the Honeoye United Church of Christ, 8785 Main St., Honeoye at 3 PM Saturday, October 20, 2007. A special thanks to the wonderful folks at Friendship 1 East at Monroe Community Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the School of the Holy Childhood,100 Groton Parkway, Rochester, NY 14623 or the Livingston-Wyoming ARC, 18 Main St. Mt. Morris, NY 14510.
