Dear Lynn, Adam and Ryan,
I just learned of Butch's untimely death when I was visiting Palmyra this past weekend. I am so sorry for your loss and the world's loss. Butch was a special person and and a wonderful friend . He touched so many people young and old. I will never forget our special times that we had-so many laughs over the years- Watkins Glen, Star Wars, wine tasting etc. My heart is out to you all, and I am here to help you. Please contact me if you see this and I will try to find you. Peace be with you; and I pray for your strength in your faith because Butch is leading the tenor section in the heavenly choir.
Love,
Priscilla

Well, i only took voice lessons from Butch for about 2 years, but i have never learned so much in such a short amount of time. He turned my love for singing into my passion for singing. He will always be in my heart. and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I worked with Butch at Palmyra Elementary School, and my children were blessed to have had him for their music teacher during their years at Pal. El. He was an amazingly gifted music teacher who was able to create magic with his students, both through his music and creative movement performances. My daughters were blessed to be a part of them, and they loved every minute. Our school was gifted by his talents and his dedication. He adored music and creativity and inspired both in his students. Butch and Lynn attended a party at our house once years ago, and I still carry with me the memory of him, sitting on the floor playing a guitar. These are all special memories indeed. My heart goes out to his beloved family about whom he spoke often with pride and devotion. I hope it brings you all some comfort to know how many lives he touched with such special joy. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Lynn, Ryan, and Adam, Please accept our sincere sympathies in the loss of your husband and dad. Butch was always very patient, kind, and supportive of my son Scott both while he took guitar lessons from him during high school, and after he went off to college, asking about him frequently and wishing him success. We found him to be an excellent teacher as well as a caring friend and mentor. Both Scott and I will remember him with fondness.

I have very fond memories of Butch at Victor Intermediate School. We both shared a love for music and would often have profound discussions about music education and the importance of the arts in school. Butch was a seasoned veteran at the time and I was an eager, rookie teacher. He was so helpful in many ways and I am thankful that I had the pleasure of knowing such a kind person.

I knew "Butch" first from the Manchester playground and then as we began high school through chorus, band and musicals. We had great fun! I have many fond memories. I send my sympathies to his family and all those who shared his love of music. I have no doubt he's leading the choir with joy in his heart...

Butch was more than a friend's Father. It seemed he always took the time to get to know you if your were a frequent visitor of the Geise household, which I was. Fifty-eight years seems to short, as he still had many more lives to touch. However, I can only hope to touch as many lives as Butch did during my lifetime. You'll be missed but not forgotten. Our thoughts are with Mrs. Geise, Adam, and Ryan.

My memories of Butch come from his time at Palmyra Elementary School. Not only did he delight in sharing his talent and love of music with his students and our school community, but he always looked for ways to broaden their experience of music and it's many connections to the arts in general. I remember most his wonderful, and sometimes exuberant sense of humor, and the joy with which he approached his job, and life in general. He was always able to cheer the gloomiest day.

Mr.Geise was such an inspiring and supportive teacher. I had him for 7th and 8th grade music in Canandaigua. Many happy hours were spent in his music room. Although I was shy, he encouraged me to sing "Summertime".
Somehow his belief in me made it possible. I had the privilege of singing two duets with him the end of my 8th grade year. I will never forget the excitement and joy. Singing is still an important part of my life due mainly to that early connection with him. I know his loving and generous spirit will live on. Many blessings to his family and all who cared for him.

Butch "Dad Geise" was a wonderful and gentle soul and I am sure he is singing with the angels now in heaven and having a grand time.
He was always so supportive of all of Adam's (and I am sure Ryan's too)friends and classmates. I am honored to say that I knew him.
Adam & Family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Know that while you will miss Butch deeply, he is smiling and singing down to you from heaven. May God hold all of you in the palm of His hand.
