Kisil, Sr., William R. "Bill"
Syracuse, NY: October 18, 2007, at age 82. Passed away Thursday at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. Born in Rochester, NY, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II having served on the DE USS Carter 112. Survivors: his wife of 60 years, Rita McCartin Kisil; daughters, M. Coleen (Daniel) McCarthy of Poughkeepsie, NY, Karen (David) Slifka of Newton, MA, Rita Gail (Gabriel) O'Loughlin of Syracuse, NY, Therese Kisil of Canton, MA, Bernadette (Michael) Palermo of Fairport, NY, Elizabeth (Daniel) Wojtkowiak of Edgewater, FL, Lyda (Tom) LaMont of Albany, NY, Sarah Hickey of Syracuse, Nancy (Rick) Kilkoyne of Auburn, NY; son, William (Andrea) Kisil, Jr. of Syracuse; 26 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services: Monday 10:30a.m. at the Tindall Funeral Home and 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Syracuse, NY. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours are Sunday, 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1921 W. Genesee St., Syracuse, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Church, 417 Orchard Rd., Syracuse, NY 13219 and Friends For Life, 2010 W. Genesee St., Syracuse, NY 13219.

Rita,

Rita...my condolences to you and your family. I'm glad that I had an opportunity to meet Bill and your whole family this May at the wedding. It was very obvious how much his family loved him. Now Baby Wojtkowiak and your other grandchildren and great grandchildren will have a very special angel watching over them.
