Karen Richards Obituary
Penfield, NY: Karen F. Richards (Diani), October 20, 2007, at age 56. Predeceased by her parents Felix A. and Mary T. Diani. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, David; her son Christopher and his wife Catherine Williams; her son Ben and his wife Kara Pangburn; her sisters Christine Diani, Mary (Kurt) Nielsen, Janet Diani (Dennis Harris); her aunts Glenna (Edward) Karvoski, Ann (Arthur) Coache, Teresa (Jack) Benzinger, and Mary Diani; her uncle Francis (Frances) Diani; her in-laws Mr. and Mrs. David Richards, Mr. and Mrs. Robert N. Freeman, and Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Stonington; and her niece, nephews and cousins.
Karen lived her life full of the Aloha Spirit, kept a special place in her heart for the young children she worked with, and had a deep and abiding faith in the Lord. In Karen's memory, please remember to tell your family and friends that you love them.
Special thanks to Dr. Laszlo Boros, Dr. Cynthia Angel, Dr. Paul Cabral, the nurses on E5 at Highland Hospital, Dr. Miyeon Oh and the Lifetime Hospice In-Patient Unit Staff at St. Mary's, and everyone at Shepherd Home. We are very grateful for the love and support of many friends and extended family.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, October 26th, from 4 to 8 PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road, Webster, NY (Rt. 250 North of Plank Rd.). A memorial Mass will be held to celebrate Karen's life on October 27th at 11 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield, NY. Inurnment, private. Memorials may be directed to Lifetime Care, 3111 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623; St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield, NY 14526; or Shepherd Home, P.O. Box 33, Penfield, NY 14526.

Dear Dave, Ben, Chris and family; I share in the grief of the loss of Karen; a beautiful wife and mother to you all and a beautiful friend to many others. I will always remember Karen for her love of the Lord, her husband, sons, and her many friends. Of course, to know Karen is to love her. What a wonderful person. Dave and Family,
We now have another angel up in heaven to watch over us. She was truly a remarkable woman and I am glad that she was in my life. She has left behind a beautiful family who will carry on her love for life and love and friendship for others. You are all in my prayers and I pray that your days will get easier as time goes on. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
