Though I never knew my cousin Jerry,I feel so sad for all of his family, esp. Judy, who I have met a few times. From everything I've read here, he seems to have been much loved. I am his fathers brothers child and I send my best wishes to all.

Here is the poem that I wrote and my niece Lynn read for me at Jerry's funeral.

I thought we'd be together;
for many years to come;
My love, my life;
The best thing that ever happened to me;
Was when I became your wife.

All my future plans;
Were made for you and me;
Our house, our cats;
Our little family.

Love at first sight;
Happened to me and you;
Twenty-eight years ago;
Now that you're not here;
I don't know what to do.

I feel like there is a hole;
Where my heart used to be;
I miss you so much;
If only once more I could feel your touch.

How can I make;
The days go by;
They used to go so fast;
When they were spent with you;
Now they last and last.

I thought that you were sleeping;
I can't get it out of my head;
It's so hard thinking; if I had covered you up sooner;
I could have saved you and you wouldn't be dead.

Carol - we all know how he loved you, his kids and his sister. He loved his Mom who passed before him. Jerry was full of love and a wonderful sense of fun. I hope this journey is peaceful and happy for him. I loved him a lot and will miss the laughter.

Greetings Carol-

I read a line in a book recently that to me is poetry; from the Crowfoot Indian People.

"What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night."

Your husband, my uncle, was a firefly in the night, whose humor and wit are remembered by many. Though he faced many challanges you were there to fly with him; and for that we are glad. May you be at peace and may your heart remain open.

Love, LynnMarie

Hey Carol, like Marie said, if you need anything we are here for you. I miss dad so much. My greatest regret is that we had to spend so many years apart. I love you. I was very touched by everyone who signed this guest book, it's nice to know people cared about him.

Carol I am so sorry for your loss. I have many happy memories of Jerry. I'll always have good memories of the great times we had. Jerry was always kidding around and looking for fun in his life. Jerry has always been in my heart. He was a best friend who always had a smile. This is a great loss for his family and friends.
