One year has passed my friend...I can't help but think about you every day...I miss your innocent smile and your addicting laughter...I try to keep a smile, but knowing your gone leaves an emptiness in my heart...You are gone, but never forgotten...

Somewhere, she still moves
We have to believe that.
Somewhere, out in the distant darkness;
And right beside us
She still moves.
We feel her
With every newly lost tooth,
In each blowing out of candles,
And in all toasts to absent friends.
Somewhere she still moves.
And she is beautiful.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to sign Rebecca's Guest Book. You see, I lost touch with Rebecca over the past year and a half and I am devastated that I did not know she passed away until today. I was in the Mathematics Program at SUNY Brockport with Rebecca. She was a true friend beyond words. Rebecca was always there for me when I needed it most during my struggle with being a mom and juggling going back to school as an adult learner. My daughter and son are the same ages as Kevin and Katilynn. Rebecca and I shared so many parallels in our lives. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

Ms. Axtell,
Every day 9th period I looked forward to your math class. You were an amazing math teacher; I learned so much in your class. You always came into class with something new to talk about, no matter what it was. Words can't express how much I am going to miss you. I guess all I can say is thank you for teaching me, there will never be another math teacher like you. My heart goes out to her family. R.I.P <3

Mrs. Axtell, the beginning of freshman year you told our class you had a habbit of telling lots of jokes, it was true, you were a funny, cheery, optomistic person who made math, well fun! Usually I would dread the math period came in past years, becuase I never really understood math, so when I started Algebra I was really nervous, but somehow I ended up getting good grades, and actually got it! You really had a way with numbers! Im going to miss you and I know that a whole lot of other eager math students, freinds and family will too...my prayers are with the family and freinds of Mrs Axtell through this unfortunate time!
Mrs, Axtell Rest in peace <3

Mrs. Axtell called me earlier this year to let me know who well my son was doing in her class and how all of his hard work had paid off. She said she wanted to take the time to make a "good call" usually parents just get the negative calls. We talked for 30 minutes on the phone. Mrs. Axtell was a very caring person. My thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.

Becky you will me missed the void in our hearts will never be filled. there will always be that void now that you are gone. My prayers go out to your children and your mother whom now has lost both of the most precious thing in her life both of her babies. I have always said that it is wrong for any parent to loose a child before their time. It's just not right. My heart goes out to you Kathy May god bless you and your grandbabies safe. God bless, and thank you for being there when I needed you! I hope I can return the favor some day.

Mrs.Axtell was by all the greatest teacher and person I have ever known. Many who knew her, knew how much she was loving, caring, but most of all special in her own way.

Mrs. Axtell was a great teacher and even better person. Although I did not personally have her, she had helped me when I would go to the Math Dept. and my friends who had her had talked a lot of great things about her. It is sad to lose someone so young and valuable. Mrs. Axtell was a smart, strong, educated and fun person. Irondequoit High School and myself will never forget her. I am truly sorry for her family and friends loss. She should still be here, smiling at her students and teaching them algebraic equations.

Mrs.Axtell Rest In Peace.

Becky was my very first babysitter and she and her mother lived next door to my parents (in Marion). Although I haven't seen Becky in many, many years, please know that you are all in my thoughts. I only have some memories of the days living next door to Becky and Kathy, but my Mom called me last night and she told me how I always wandered next door to visit with them and they would take me for ice cream or play with me. Such a nice, nice family. We have certainly lost an angel. May the love of friends and family carry you all through your grief.

mrs axtell was one of the best math teachers a student could ever have. Me along with those who had her as a teacher last year were very luck to have had her and those who had her this year were very lucky too even tho they didnt really get to know her the way we did. she always talked about her kids during class and she just meant the world to all of us. everytime i walk past her class room when i go to math, i always cry because it really just breaks my heart. its still so hard to believe that shes gone being the fact that i just spoke with her not to long ago in the morning before school and i know so many other peoeple are saying the same thing. its all just so hard to believe and she is greatly missed by all of us. and i will always remmeber her because she is the first teacher that has ever made me actually enjoy and like math.

Rebecca,We hope that you realize just how much you are missed. Both my daughter Erika & I have been in a fog since you've passed. The two of you were like peas in a pod- both quietly graceful and sincere, caring, and fully of simmmering mischief. You weren't just her teacher, you were her Friend- and you were there for her at a very pivotal time in our lives. We both cried, and still are - for you, your family, and for the memories that never had the chance to be made. Our hearts & love go out to your children & family. We miss you, but we hope you are truly at peace now.Thank you for being there and making such a positive, lasting impact on our lives. I wish we could have had more time.

Mrs. Axtell, you were one of my favorite math teachers. I actually understood it! I'll miss you so much. Never forgotten, forever missed, always loved. You promised to be there for graduation. I still expect you there. I can tell you the last conversation we ever had will always play through my mind. And don't worry, I'll keep visiting. God bless the kids she fawned over all last school year. Irondequoit High won't ever be the same without you. Lots of love, Carolyn
ps. I hope you like carnations, your door is covered in them.

Mrs. Axtell, The first thing that Carolyn ever said about you that I remember is "She is a really cool Math teacher". She was right. It's funny that I only was your student for a month and I miss you so much. You were a really great teacher. You made people get it. Somehow you could make everything that had to do with numbers click, like a lot of teachers wished they could. I don't know if you were there to see it. But in 5th period, the day that you didn't show up for class and everyone found out why, everyone was upset... and lots of people crying. Even those kids that don't quite pay attention in class all the time. I told myself I wouldn't cry but I did. I really miss you. I'm sorry I didn't get to have you as a teacher for the whole year. It would have been lots of fun. Math, 5th period, Freshman year, Highschool... it all wont be the same without you. God Bless. -Elaina
