Semans, William A.
Canandaigua: Nov. 15, 2007, age 79. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary (Wallace) Semans; 2 daughters, Debra Semans and husband Roger Siegel of Dunwoody, GA, Nancy Batzel-Johnson and husband Rick Johnson of Canandaigua; son, William A. "Lon" Semans II and wife Carol Maue of Canandaigua; sister Jane (Philip) Coons of Canandaigua; son-in-law, Vernon Colf of Shortsville; 7 grandchildren, Amy (Ed) Cary, Stephen Colf (Mindy Frere), Hilary Batzel, Paul Siegel, Sean, Keith and Emilia Tallon; 4 great-grandchildren, Adam and Elizabeth Cary, Jenna Frere and Sydney Lin Colf; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lin Colf in 2000, brother Albert Semans in 1960, sister-in-law Waneta Semans in 2006.
Friends may call TOMORROW (Monday) from 6-9 PM at John C. Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Canandaigua Emergency Squad, 233 N. Pearl St., Canandaigua, NY 14424, Hopewell Volunteer Fire Dept., Canandaigua, NY 14424, or Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, NY 14456.
