Greece: On November 27, 2007. Predeceased by his wife, Rose; and daughter-in-law, Carol. He is survived by his son, Eric; daughter, Rosemary (Charles) Mancuso; 7 grandchildren, Andrew, Jeffrey & Lindsay Pappert, Charles, Lacie, Joseph & Renee Mancuso; several nieces & nephews. Retiree of Genesee Brewery, member of Verein der Donaudutschen, German American Sport Club, Rochester Schwaben Verein.
Friends may call at ARNDT FUNERAL HOME, 1118 Long Pond Road (South of Maiden Lane) on Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service, Monday, 9:30 am in Creation Chapel at White Haven. Entombment, White Haven Memorial Park. Those wishing may make contributions to Alzheimer's Association, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, New York 14620 or St. John's Home, 150 Highland Avenue, Rochester, New York, 14620.

Frank and Vera Fugmann

John has been an old friend of mine and my wife, Vera. I have known him since early childhood, over 70 years ago. He was an apprenctice in my uncle's blacksmith shop, back in Hungary. When we moved to America we would reminisce about old times. And we still think of him quite often, and wish all the best to John's family. Our girls also remember his charming personality and sense of humor.
