Mr. Granger was my 5th grade teacher 25 years ago. He popped into my mind out of the blue minutes ago and I decided to search the web and see if he was still teaching. I'm so sad to hear instead of his passing. I went by Junior at the time and remember him telling me to go by Wayne instead since it's a good name like his son Wade's. He was such a great teacher and kind person. My sincere condolences to his family and all who knew him.

Mr. Granger was my 5th grade teacher 25 years ago. He was also the last person I saw before moving to Boston. I had not seen him in many years and he walked right up to me at a gas station and remembered me by name even though it had been about 15 years at the time. This is sad news and my thoughts and prayers are with the Granger Family. He had a very large positive impact on my life.

Dear Mrs. Granger and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Mr. Granger was my fith grade teacher too many years ago...I just turned 40. I hate to admit my first childhood/teacher crush as well. I was so sad to hear this. He was a incredible teacher and seemed to know what each student needed to "fit in". He made a tremendous difference in what was a very difficult childhood, he made that year one of my best chilhood memories. I will NEVER forget him. I know he is in a much better place smiling on all of you. I am sorry most for those children that will never get the chance to be taught by such a great teacher. We are sad but the angels are rejoicing, one of their own has "come home". Take care and God be with you. I am so sorry.

Dear Rosanne and Wade,
I am in Florida. Uncle Kenny is in California. Aunt Deanna and family are in Brazil. Yet, we were there with both of you and your extended family. Billy Nealon's voice of Kenny was profound as were the other tributes. The live camera would move professionally from the altar to those in attendance.
It was indeed a remarkable celebration of Peter's life and a testimonial to his humility.
I will always treasure Wade's words, "He may be laid to rest, but his reputation will live forever."
Peace and love. You are in my toughts and prayers.
And in God's plan, as we heard today, "Play ball, the best is yet to come."

Dear Mrs. Granger, Wade, and all of Mr. Granger's family; my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Mr. Granger was an amazing man and teacher. As my 6th grade teacher he taught me the joy of learning and throughout the years I have used what he taught me to teach my students. He will truly be missed and I thank God for people like him.

Dear Roseanne and Wade,
Peter was my cooperating teacher approximately 18 years ago. It was a good fit. We were about the same age, and I always appreciated his sense of humor and his support of my work. Student teaching was tremendous fun because of Peter. He was a great and caring guy. I remember how adoringly he spoke of you, Roseanne, and how proud he was of his son, Wade.
I hope you will find comfort in how much he was loved by others. My thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow.

My husband & I are deeply sadden & express our condolences to the family. My husband had the great honor of coaching under Pete the past 2 years at Fairport & had such great respect for him. He was such a nice, generous man to both of us.

Dear Rosanne and Wade-
I just learned of Pete's passing today. I am deeply saddened by the news and my prayers are with you and your family. I played soccer for Coach Granger during my 7th and 8th grade in the early '80's. I cherish the memories I have of Pete and thank him for being a role model. It would always bring me joy to see Pete at alumni events or random meetings when I was in town. As you grieve your loss I want to let you know that Pete will be missed and I am honored to have had the chance to know and learn from him. Peace be with you.

Pete was my older daughter Sarah's 5th grade teacher 3 years ago. I got to know what was important to him by seeing how he helped Sarah. He always talked about making the right choices. I am in Hong Kong now, but heard from my wife of his death. Please accept my condolences and my prayers to you and for Pete. My daughter Julia, who is now in 5th grade at Northside always hoped she would have Mr. Granger for a teacher. I hope it will be comforting to know that Pete had such a wonderful effect on people, especially children. Andrew Kohn

to Rosanne and Wade,
My son Peter played for Pete Carol A was a good friend I helped care for. I cannot beleive what a trajic time your whole family is going through.
Pete and I didn't always see eye to eye during games, but I liked him again all over again the following year and He came over to me at a camp after Pete went to college and told me he was following Peter playing at college. He is definetely a factor in the player my son has become.
Rosanne, I just missed you when you brought food to Carol's the other day and Pete was in the car. I asked Renee how he was. Wade is a wonderful son and will be a great comfort to you. I still remember him getting up for sunrise surfice in Myrtle Beach.
I have thought of all of you often over the last few months.
