I am so so sorry and shocked to hear about Mike - someone with such a zest for life! My husband and I used to play against him and his long time partner Pete Aylward in tennis, he was a great competitor. My brother in law just died the same day, he was only 53, another Kodaker. A sad week all around. All the best to his family,

Pat & Ryan,
Condolences to you both. Janet went to Grammar School with Mike and I worked with Mike. Many good times with Mike include his great super bowl parties; CanAm golf trips in his van; Monday night golf at Lake Shore and many more. He will be missed !

Dear Ryan and Pat,

I am so sorry to hear the news about your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I will always remember the great times that we had with Mike when we first arrived in Rochester and I joined Kodak in 1973 and a bunch of us would "hang out" together. May memories comfort you and may God Bless,

Pat and Ryan,
Dave and I feel so lucky to have known Mike. Getting together with Pat and Mike such a short time ago was a true gift. Mike was always a favorite. He savored every moment. His intelligence, wit and sense of humor was amazing. Our love and thoughts are with you.

Ryan and Pat,
It's so hard to process that Mike is gone. He was such a presence, so jovial, and with a genuine gusto for everything he did. Lord knows, he supported "the basement boys" unreservedly. I always knew Keith was in great hands when he was at Ryan's dad's house (his mom's, too). The last time I had an opportunity to seem him was at Keith's big MBA celebration. Mike was SO ecstatic about my wine choices he was practically giddy. I wish we had been able to hang out with him more, but I am grateful for having known him. My heart goes out to you Ryan, our unofficial 4th child. And to Pat, for your sudden loss, as well. Life is a trade-off; to enjoy it we have to accept how fleeting it truly is.

Once I heard the sad news, my memories drifted back to Mike and my Kodak family. I worked for him for many years. He had a drawer full of silk ties to choose from (along with the matching silk handkerchiefs). He was the group's clothes horse! Many good memories. I send my condolences to his son, family, and the many friends that will be reflecting on his life. I wish I could be there!

One of the truly great guys. Pundit, scholar, and goofball. Always gracious to our whole family. His mean Eggs Benedict on New Year's Day had become an Oster Family Tradition. We will all miss him dearly. I can not buy a bottle of wine without him on my shoulder, giving advice. :)

Dear Ryan,

I worked with your Dad, at Kodak. His blood ran yellow in that he was a very dedicated Company man. You should be proud of your Dad...for his passion for fine food, golf, teaching. His passing has left an incredible hole in our hearts and our thoughts and prayers go out to you at this very sad time. Please remember how much he loved life and those things that gave him greatest pleasure!!
