Laurella Healy Obituary

Healy, Laurella Luce
Henrietta: Age 92, died Monday at the Henrietta home where she lived for 53 years. Known as Lolly to family and friends, Mrs. Healy was an active church member and Granger much of her life. She served with her deceased husband, Kenneth, as Sunday School superintendent at East Henrietta Baptist Church for 17 years in the 1950s and 1960s. For more than 20 years she had belonged to West Henrietta Baptist Church where she wrote the church history. Mrs. Healy was a former member of the women's board at Fairport Baptist Home. As a Granger, she served as lecturer first in Alfred, New York, and later in Honeoye Falls. While a student at Alfred High School she was president of the Allegany County 4-H.
Mrs. Healy is survived by one brother, Sanford (Barbara) Luce of Dansville; three children, Kenneth James (Angelynn) Healy, Bonita Healy, and Elaine (Timothy) VanDerMeid, all of Henrietta; nine grandchildren, Samuel Healy, Clayton (Amber) Healy, and Joseph (Jenna) Healy, Kortlynn Moore, Joshua and Adam Baldwin, Justin, Amelia and Matthew VanDerMeid; and two great-granddaughters, Samantha Healy and Nora Grace VanDerMeid.
Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Henry D. Halloran & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 5781 West Henrietta Rd., West Henrietta. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at West Henrietta Baptist Church, West Henrietta and Erie Station roads. Burial will be at the Honeoye Falls Cemetery at the family's convenience. Memorial contributions may be made to the WHBC Memorial Fund, c/o West Henrietta Baptist Church, PO 336, 5660 West Henrietta Road, West Henrietta, NY 14586.

Bonnie and family,
Cousin Kathy just told me of Aunt Lolly's passing. Our prayers are with you. She was a wonderful woman, and I was so glad that we got to see you both in 2004.
