Kaye, Joyce Leyland
Connecticut: At age 85, devoted wife of the late Anthony Kaye, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2007, in Wilton Meadows Health Care Center. Born in England, she immigrated to America with her parents as an infant and was raised in Rochester, NY. A long time resident of Westport, CT, Joyce returned to the area 8 years ago after retiring with her husband in Ormond Beach, FL. A dedicated wife & mother, she particularly enjoyed nuturing her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Throughout her life Joyce derived much satisfaction from volunteerism & actively contributed to various community organizations. After her husband's retirement, they shared the opportunity to travel extensively in many countries worldwide.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ronald (Sue) Kaye of Southport, CT, Richard Kaye of East Hampstead, NH, Robert (Maria) Kaye of Gilbert, AZ & Vikki (John) Oliver of West Henrietta; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ronald (Jean) Leyland of Rochester & John Leyland of FL; many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call Friday, 4-8pm at Miller Funeral Homes (3325 Winton Rd. S.). Joyce's Funeral Service will be celebrated Saturday, 9am in the Interfaith Chapel at the Funeral Home. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. Hello, Leyland-Kayes: So sorry to have heard the news about Aunt Joyce. As, I am afraid, distance, time and circumstances of life, have prevented better contact with all. I do think of you all often and wonder how we are all doing. I have great memories of Aunt Joyce..she such an infectious smile and soft voice. My sympathy to Ron, Ricki, Bobbie and Vicki.

Hi Ron, Rick, Bob & Vickie, Sorry to hear of the passing Of Joyce. She was a great sister and I cherish the many memories i have of growing up with.Unfortunately in the later years we seemed to have lost contact with each other but she was always in my mind as you all are.
