Doris Bachelor Obituary

BACHELOR Doris Marie (Kintz) Bachelor, 84 years of age, went home to heaven on Monday, October 13, 2008, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Doris was born October 22, 1923 and was a graduate of Alexandria High School in 1941. She and devoted husband Harold "Bach" raised two wonderful daughters and enjoyed water skiing, traveling, serving others, and spoiling grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were active at Peace United Methodist Church in Columbus, the Still Going Strong Club in Westerville, and Country Music Fellowship Organization in Newark, Ohio. Preceded in death by precious daughter Karen (Bachelor) Pierson, mother and father Mary and Jesse Kintz, sister Ruth Zapos, and brothers Tom and James Kintz. Survived by loving husband of 65 years, Harold; sister, Wanda Prince of Newark; sister, Clara Cramer of Granville; brother, Richard Kintz of St. Louisville; daughter, Luanne Puckett (Westerville); granddaughter, Kristin (Daniel) Pike of San Antonio, TX; grandson, David Puckett; son-in-law, Bob (Linda) Pierson; grandson, Brian (Meghan) Pierson, all of Westerville; grandson, Greg (Janet) Pierson of Hilliard; and grandson, Shawn Pierson of Worthington; Susan (Eric) Mason of Sunbury; Rozlin Stepp of Delaware; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Andrew, Caitlin, Emily, Hunter, Jake, Ezekiel, Doug Jr. and Anna; and beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special thanks for wonderful care to Dr. Christine Adamcak and her entire staff. Friends may call 2–4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at DeVORE-SNDYER FUNERAL HOME, SR's 3 at 61, Sunbury, where funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, with Pastor Wayne Booth officiating. Interment Burnside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice 793 W. State St., Columbus, OH 43222 or Alzheimer's Association, 3380 Tremont Rd., Columbus, OH 43221. Dear Harold, Luanne, and family,
Deepest Sympathy to you and yours at this difficult time. We are so glad that two dear ladies named Doris shared a room at Friendship Village of Columbus. It brought us all together as friends. I'm sure the girls are sharing wonderful stories together in a better place. They are finally at peace.

I'm so sorry to hear about Doris. I remember all the years we spent together with 5 or 6 family's as the River Rats. We had so much fun. Doris will truely be missed. Our hearts are with you and your family.
