The Terrill family,
I am so sorry for your loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

December 13, 2008

To My Dear Precious Big Brother,
There are no words that can express the pain I feel in losing you. You have left a big hole in all of our hearts, but what you also left are such wonderful memories of our lives growing up together that can never be lost. (The big black "bear" that chased you and I through the strawberry fields that turned out to be a dog and you laughed your head off at my terror; It was great when you were playing football and I was a cheerleader, cheering for my big brother; or how you tried to get me to go out with your Navy buddies when you happened to bring them home with you for a weekend). The day you walked me down the aisle to give me away as I married Al.
So many memories... I love you Bob and I know you are now helping God "entertain the troops". God speed my dear brother and thank you for always being there to take care of your little sister; you were always my hero and you will continue to be.. Someday we will get to be together again.

Love you,
Your sister Mary
xoxo

To the Terrell family
I was sorry to here of the passing of bob. I was shocked when my dear friend Walley Mahle told me on are trip to Syracuse University for his induction into The Letterman's hall of fame that bob had told him that he was quite ill.
I was a year ahead of bob at Leboeuf and we played side by side for 2 years as a member of the football team. I was happy for Bob when he was inducted into the Wall of Fame as I, myself was inducted into the same Wall of Fame in 2003 and realize the honor of being in such a elite group.
Although I had not seen Bob too many times after graduation as i moved to Florida after college. I was keeped informed about Bob by my close friends, Wally Mahle, Buck Davis and Harry Thomas. I had many good memories of Bob. God bless

Turtles, (Rob, Murph, and Mark)

I was shocked to hear of the passing of your father. Wow! the memories we had (Bob M would agree). Lincoln Park and all of the guys palling around during the summer days. I can't say I knew Mr. Turtle all that well, but I know him and Mrs. T took very good care and loved their children. I can remember you guys never being hungry, especially at lunch. I can still hear the echoing voice of "Rob, John, Mark... lunchtime". Our games would stop in order for you guys to grab some chow. What seemed funny back then, and now I see and know was a testament to how much your folks cared for you guys. I wish could shake all of your hands, hug and hang out one more time. One day and I promise, we'll all get together and play one more game somewhere. About the fourth inning or so, I will have someone yell "LUNCH" and we will all go break for a quick bite. Miss you guys!

Wow-its taken me all week to sign Uncle Bob's book. I've always known that he was a great guy but the last couple of days it has been so eye opening that his "family" reached so far beyond bloodlines. He brought such happiness to so many people. He had a way to make you feel special. I am honored to have called him uncle. God bless you Aunt Mary, Rob, John, Mark, Kristen, and Noelle.

Mary and family...just had to tell you this favorite story of Frank Lomabardo, your Dad and me. We all went to the YMCA and all three of us went to the Sauna. Well your Dad and I loved talking computers, inventions and high tech stuff. Frank could care less about all of this, But anways, the phone rang and wondered where the phone was. Your Dad lifted his right index finger and said "Hello"..it was your Mom calling....Frank looked puzzled and said to us " you guys are just too much with all these hi tech gadgets...I am getting out of here and take a walk". We really felt badly when he left. About 10 min later, Frank comes walking in with paper hanging out of his ear. We told him if he is alright. He answered back and said to us that
he was receiving a FAX.

I wanted you all to have the "PRIDE and JOY " cards for you and the kids. Those cards were truly magical for us. They were so uplifting too people..we always got a smile or laugh from them..truly magical...your Pop would love you to have them. I see your Dad in all his grandchildren. His legacy will continue....John ...I loved that story about "your Dad trying to invite Clint Eastwood to you and Neko's wedding.
Boys..take care of Mom....I will be checking up on her often...and tell Jason to look for those LORD balls for me. It was a beautiful tribute that Fr. Jim , Deacon Frank , John, Kristen and Bob's brother gave of your Dad. I will be chattting with you again. I will tell you the story about when me, your Dad , my brother-in-law Ken left John Gulick at the VET stadium. God Bless

Dear Mary, Kristen and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was one of my favorite people at Holy Rosary. His faith and love of his family was so evident. His cheerfulness and enthusiasm for life was so inspiring.
May your faith be your source of comfort.

Dear Mary and Terrill Family,
How sad to hear of your loss. Bob was so passionate about his family, faith, and living life to the fullest. I remember him as an exemplory husband and father from Holy Rosary when I taught there. He was so dedicated to all of you. He must have made an amazing grandpa! All of you have a very special saint looking over your family now. God bless you as you go on without him and keep the laughter and memories going.

Mary and Family,
So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I graduated with Bob from Fort LeBoeuf High School Class of 1960 and remember cheering for Bob on the Football Field. Don also knew him from working at Lord Corporation. He was a great guy. He always had a smile on his face. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers at this time.

Kristen and family,

I can honestly say that your dad was one of the most special people I have ever known. My earliest memory of him was at dance class, waiting to pick up one or more of his granddaughters from class, passing the time by showing me his "Pride and Joy" cards. From that moment on, I always saw him as one of those people who I could be around after having the worst day possible, and he could make everything OK. I have had him as a substitute teacher at Mercyhurst Prep numerous times throughout my years there, and he always had a good story or his rubber chicken on hand! We could always count on him to "help us out" with questions on a quiz we were taking. My memories of Mr. Terrill are nothing but good and happy, and knowing Kristen and her girls, I can see he successfully passed his values on to all of his wonderful family. My prayers and thoughts are always with you.

Dear Mary and Family:

Bob and I go back to '57 when he transferred to LeBoeuf from Strong Vincent. He made an immediate impact on us then as an all-around great athlete and good guy. (My coaches made sure I got a good look at his athleticism from the bench.)
Reading this guest book gives us all an indication of the impact he has continued to have. Phyllis and I enjoyed our times together with you and Bob the last few years. He loved you, his faith and his entire family; and we are all better off for having known him.
We will remember you in our prayers and will look you up when we get up to the the Erie area.
I will never forget Bob, and the times with his wonderful mother, his sister Mary and his brother Joe. What a great family. He kept the best till last and that was you, Mary. God bless.

Kristen and Family,
I am so sorry. I have kept you in my prayers for some time now and will continue to do so. I remember your dad always driving us places when we were kids. I knew getting in your car for a cheerleading game was going to be hilarious. Your dad always made us kids feel like we were something special, either with a funny joke or encouraging us to do well at our games. I will pray for you and your family.

To the Terrill Family,
I didn't know Bob very well at Fort LeBoeuf but we met up while working at LORD Corp. We had so many great laughs and conversations...he was so full of life, a totally devoted family man, always had a smile and was such a positive and wonderful guy. May you find comfort and peace in the great memories you hold dear during this difficult time.
With sincere sympathy,

Just came back from seeing my best buddy sail off ....it was so comforting to see his adored wife and their children and beautiful grandchildren. I chated with Bobby about our days on the golf course-the times at the water hole and your LORD golf balls where you never worried about losing them because no one would dare hit the "LORD"'s ball, our magic shows at Holy Rosary, cabins at Gaeta's golf camp, our times at Franki's barber salon and the time you said to me when I was seating next to Sam Savoia reading the paper and three other patrons " hey Don...when did you get off parole"...wow those stares I got...especially from Sam...Sam turned to me and said "And I and Isabella have you read the "Bible Readings"! I loved the way you use to put the "Billy Bob teeth" in your mouth.(boy you were good)..the story when you went to the dentist and you had the teeth in and you looked at the dentist customers and you looked at them and said " This is what happens when you "FLOSS" ...oh the espression on those customers faces getting ready to make the exit out of there... we had so much FUN ...never taking life too seriously ...never sweating the small stuff....and your integrity on the golf course ...when you said you had a 9 ...you in fact had a 9...you can tell much about a person's character playing golf...you had genuine integrity...we never had to keep score either,,,we knew what we had.....also when your boys gave you a new wood ( how he loved his boys and daughters)-so proud of them)---I loved when you use to tell me ...'Colicchio...I am going to WIP your butt"!....Well my dear Bobby....You now have the honors".....you take care of us all down here ok? We will seeing you on the boat...opps...I mean Ship!( I enjoyed when you scolded me on that glitch) Love ya Gumba... I will chat with you tonite...ciao

Aunt mary and the Terrill Family. We were so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Although we haven't seen him since 1997 during our mini family reunion, we remember his good natured presence and the way he kept the mood happy and joyeous. Of course as a young man from Erie I do have many more foggy memories of him and the family. Our prayers go out to all of you during this very tough time but know God will heal your pain with time. Cherish your memories of him and live life as he would want you to. Aunt Mary you are truely an angel on earth. You are always by our sides during our losses. I know the family is around you now during your loss. God Bless you all and we hope to see you all soon. Paul, Maxine, Jeremy and Chrissy Lenze ( Bob's Calif cousin )

To Bob's family and friends. So sorry for your loss. I worked with Bob while we were at Lord and our paths crossed now and again after he retired. He was one of the most positive and open people I have known. It was always a pleasure taking customers to his lab and watching Bob be Bob. I'll always remember his fondness for his family. His navy buddy stories. His magic and charm that wowed my 2 daughters at a chance meeting at a local resturant a year ago.

Dear Terrill Family,

I'm very saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Bob for many years at Lord and we volunteered together through The Academic Sports League. He was such a kind and happy man--he spread smiles wherever he went. He talked about you all and obviously loved you with all his heart. He will be very sadly missed and fondly remembered.

Mrs. Terrill and Family,
I don't know if you will remember me, but I grew up with Noelle down the street when we were little girls. My parents names were Robert and Donna Garczynski, also you may remember my grandmother was at my house also her name was Mary Edith Brewer. Hopefully this helps you remember who I am, since it has been so long since I've seen or spoken to you guys.I was so surprised to hear that your husband and father had passed away. I always remember him laughing and telling jokes and doing his magic tricks when I was little. He will truly be missed by all who had the great pleasure of knowing him. I send my deepest sympathy.

To all of Bob's family, We were so fortunate to have met Bob. The first time was in 2005 at Rob and Angela's wedding. The last time we saw him was at Jillian's christening. Bob was kind and fun to be around. He was a great grandfather and his two grandchildren in Lima are young, but they will always remember him through his family and ours. We will miss him. Mark, JT, and family,
I cannot begin to tell you how saddened I am to hear about the loss of your father. I have some great memories of him at our baseball games and the few times he and Mr. Colicchio came to our camp to play golf. He always made us laugh and when those two got together, they were a hoot. What a great guy and wonderful person who he will be truly missed. One thing I can definitely take from knowing your dad is never to take yourself too seriously.
My family's thoughts and prayers go out to all of you during this tough time.

Terrill Family,
I have worked at Lord corp. for the last eighteen years. Although I never worked directly with Bob I knew of him. THEN, we met up together when we made Cursillo 183 almost five years ago. I will never forget that weekend and how much I admired Bob and his faith in God. With a constant smile on his face he was an inspiration to all in the Erie Cursillo Movement. May he rest in the arms of the Lord forever.
God Bless!

Aunt Mary and cousins,
I will miss Uncle Bob and always remember the great times he showed my family and I when we visited Erie. My best memories are of him playing the accordian, calling Mr Wizard on the phone, taking us to eat hotdogs with Greek Sauce and getting the people at Troyer Farms to give us a private tour after they had closed. He was a true gem! I am grateful that I got to see him over Labor Day weekend. He was the best. My son, David, said he and Aunt Mary were like a second set of grandparents to him. That says alot! I will be with you in prayer.
Love you,

MARY-
I AM SO SADDENED BY BOB'S PASSING. I ALWAYS CALLED HIM BOB "TERRIBLE" IN PT. HE WAS ALWAYS UP TO NO GOOD AND ENCOURAGED ALL THE OTHER PATIENTS TO FOLLOW HIS LEAD. USUALLY HE WAS FAKING SCREAMS AND GROANS OF AGONY WHILE LAYING AND DOING NOTHING. HE ALWAYS MADE ME AND EVERYONE IN HIS PRESENCE LAUGH. I WILL NEVER FORGET HIM SHOWING OFF HIS "KIDS" OR "PRIDE & JOY". I FEEL SO BLESSED THAT I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO HAVE BOB BE PART OF MY LIFE. HE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED. I WILL ALWAYS HAVE A STORY TO TELL WITH ALL HIS PHYSICAL THERAPY ANTICS & JOKES. I THANK GOD FOR BRINGING HIM INTO MY LIFE.

Mary and Family. Jean and I are saddened by Bob's passing; but I know he's in a better place waiting for us to catch up. One of my favorite memories was when Bob was the referee for the HR father/Son football game. As ref, Bob managed to intercept a dad's throw and run it back for a TD for the kids. We were all complaining and he just kept blowing that whistle!! What a husband, what a Dad, what a guy!!

Love and hugs to you and your family. Bob and Jean Zimmer

I am so very sorry for your loss. My whole family knew Bob and we all thought he was a wonderful man. He was always smiling and happy and ready with a joke and ready to show you the picture of his "little ones" that he kept in his wallet! I remember him telling me about his job as the engineer on the Waldameer train and how much fun he had and how excited he was to be able to do that, even in the pouring rain. He spread joy, happiness, and life to everyone that he met. He will truly be missed.

Dear Mary and family.....our hearts are grieving with you for the loss of such a wonderful selfless person. It was a priviledge to have been a member of the Summit Gang with Bob who went on to LeBoeuf H.S. where we made many great memories together. Even now, fifty years later, we would laugh as we recalled some of those times. I know that Bob was the rock in the family, but the void will be filled by the proud sons who learned from such a God fearing man. Do not fear tomorrow.......God is already there.

My sincere thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
I met Bob in 1961 while we were in the Navy. We were young and foolish kids and had many laughs and great times together. Recently we renewed our friendship via telephone and email. Bob was such a great guy and positive role model. I'm deeply saddened by the loss of such a wonderful person whom I was so fortunate to call my friend.

To the Terrill Family,
I met Bob several years ago doing a television special for Saint Vincent Health Center. Bob was interviewed because of a heart procedure for atrial fibrillation. I visited him in his office at Lord Corporation and the photographer and I ended up spending more than an hour with him. He was interesting, full of information and such a positive man! He laughed often and had such a great spirit. He was easy to like. We heard about the family and how much you all meant to him. I wanted you to know that even though my interactions with Bob were brief, I will remember his fun nature, his stories of life and his awesome attitude! And, brief as it was, even I know what a great guy he was!
My sympathies to you all.

Marry, I'm not sure if you and I ever met, but I remember Bob as one of the toughest, cheerful and optomistic teamates I ever had at Ft. Leboeuf. A couple of years ago I had the good fortune to reunite via telephone with Bob when he coordinated the distribution of Ft. LeBoeuf football highlights film. We chatted several times and got a thumbnail sketch of each others lives for the previous 40 years. I was overwhelmed at the love and devotion he expressed for you and his family. My life is better for having Bob in it, no matter how briefly. John Leech, class of '59.

Mary...I will miss my buddy. To me Bob is a saint. He illicited many miracles to many people. He had such a powerful gift of caring and love ,,,and how he made people 's heart fill with laughter and joy. Oh how he loved his family and yes...that Mary was his Angel. I have so many great memories of my buddy...the one I will aways will cherish is when we went to play golf and he were on a water hole (oh how he hated those water holes)and he took all of his cut-up balls fron his bag and tossed them to the "water gods". then he proceeded to take out his signature "Lord golf ball" and as he hit the ball it salled deeply over the water. HE was such an inspiration...he was always so positive in every way of life...he touched me and many others in so many ways. I will never...never forget my "Gumba" ! His memories will always be with me...always!

Mary, Rob Jr, John, Mark, Kristen, Noelle, you have my deepest regrets about the loss of your father. He was a good man. If there is anything I can do just ask. I wish the best for all of you and your families during the holidays and especially during this tough time. God Bless

Mary and Family,
Please accept my sincere sympathy at the passing of Bob. He will be missed by all that knew him. He always had a way of making us smile and always had a smile on his face. You know he and
