Klint Brooks Obituary

Klint D. Brooks rode through life fast. He was killed in an accident riding his four wheeler, which was one of his life's passions, on May 17, 2008.
Klint was born on August 15, 1972 to Devona (Brooks) Lubke. He was the second of two children and made our family complete. He was a lifelong resident of Elko County. He completed school in Elko graduating from Elko High School in 1990. Klint had a very strong work ethic and at the time of his death he was employed at Haycock Petroleum in Carlin as their Transport Supervisor.
Klint's passions in life were his family and friends, fast trucks, extreme snowmobiles and four wheelers, and being able to go places as often as possible with camp trailer in tow. If there was a road trip planned, Klint was driving.
Klint is survived by his mom Devona, stepfather Joel Lubke, sister Karen and her husband Brett Sallee, nephews Spencer and Daniel Sallee, grandma Iris Brooks, fiancé Lisa Edwards and her son Kaleb and daughter Jordan. Also surviving are a stepsister Carol (Robert) Sosalla, Aunt Marie Evans, Uncle Ken Anderson, cousins Dyanna Anderson, Laurie (Greg) Gehlert, Lisa (Mike) Seely, Shawn Anderson, Bryan (Becky) Martinez, Ann-Marie (Cory) Winesburg, and Ashley Evans. There are many other relatives and friends in his extended family who loved him dearly and will miss him severely. The only things bigger than Klint were his heart and his grin.
On Thursday, May 22, there will be a viewing from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and a service at 11 a.m. A luncheon and time for sharing will follow. All activities will take place at the LDS East Stake Center located at 1651 College Parkway in Elko, Nevada.
In lieu of flowers, please just share your sympathy with Klint's family and spend all the time you can with your family because you never know how many tomorrows you will have.

Dear Brooks Family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. Klint and I were high school friends and a few months back we bumped into each other at the store. It was great to catch up on the progress of each others' lives. He had told me of his soon-to-be wife and children and his continued love for vehicles. It was apparent by the tone in his voice and the smile on his face, he was genuinely happy.
We will all miss him,

Dyanna Anderson

Devona, Joel, Karen, Brett, Spencer, Daniel, and Lisa, Kaleb, Jordan, and family far and wide... Klint may have been the quieter of his siblings, but his love for life and action and family was just as loud. We're so sorry for his loss, but thankful to have had a chance to know him. You're in our thoughts.
