Raymond Lapierre Obituary

Raymond L. Lapierre was Leominster City Councilor, Army vet; 83 LEOMINSTER Raymond L. Lapierre, 83, of Leominster, died Friday, August 8, 2008 in Life Care Center of Leominster, after an illness. He was born on Jan. 23, 1925, in Newark, R.I., was the son of Mathias Lapierre and Mary Jane (Clouthier) Lapierre. He was a graduate of Leominster High School and Clark University. Mr. Lapierre was a United States Army Air Corp Veteran. He worked as a negotiator for the state of Massachusetts until his retirement. Mr. Lapierre was councilor at large for the City of Leominster for 9 ½ years on the city council. He was a member of Holy Family of Nazareth Parish in Leominster, the Franco American War Veterans in Leominster, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #477 in Leominster, The Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion in Leominster. He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Lanza) Lapierre of Leominster; one son, Steven Lapierre of Leominster; two daughters, Pamela Settergren and Donna Hinesm, both of Leominster; two sisters, Doris LeBlanc and Beverly Lemieux, both of Leominster; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. LAPIERRE The funeral with military honors will be held from the Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West Street in Leominster, on Tuesday August 12, 2008 with a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union Street in Leominster, burial will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery in Leominster. Calling hours are Monday August 11, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Gloria, and Family

Uncle Ray was the most wonderful
person we could have as an Uncle
when we were young.

He was always there with a helping
hand, family geneology info. etc.

They broke the mold when they made him.
That wonderful smile and
great personality. He will be missed>
