Larry Altman-Beatham Obituary

Larry G. Altman-Beatham Co-owner, Silent Partners Consignments; 51 FITCHBURG Larry G. Altman-Beatham, of Fitchburg, passed away unexpectedly August 5, 2008, while vacationing in Bangor, Maine. Larry was the son of Ruth and Stillman Beatham. He leaves his loving husband and soul mate, Joseph Altman-Beatham; and son, Bruce Altman; a very large family all in the Maine area; so many friends, and dearest friend, Maureen Cox of Ashburnham. Larry was a loving family man. He was always there to lend a helping hand, to listen, and to give advice to anyone who needed it. He was a wise man beyond his years. Larry always had a smile on his face. He was loving and caring, kind and considerate to everyone whether he knew you or not. Larry was a very dedicated employee of Payless Shoe Source for many years, most recently at The Mall at Whitney Field. He loved his job and all of his co-workers. Customer service was his life, he made each customer feel as if they were his number one customer. Larry also was the co-owner of Silent Partners Consignments and Antiques in Leominster. He loved to perform in the St. Joseph's Variety Show every year, he loved to sing and tap dance. He was involved in so many charitable organizations. Larry was a gourmet cook and loved to entertain at home. He loved to make anyone feel like they were in a five star restaurant. Larry touched so many lives and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. ALTMAN-BEATHAM A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 12 Noon at the First Church Unitarian Universalist, West St., Leominster, MA, with a reception to follow.

Dear Joe and Bruce,
I was shocked when I read of Larry's passing at such a young age. Though I only met him a few times it was evident that he was a very kind soul. I am deeply sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
