Fiorello 'Sonny' Valente of Fitchburg, Leominster co. retiree; 80 FITCHBURG Fiorello "Sonny" Valente, 80, of Fitchburg, died Monday, September 15, in Health Alliance-Leominster Hospital. He was born January 23, 1928, in Cambridge, son of the late Alessandro and Ines (Sodi) Valente. Mr. Valente worked as a mold maker for Banner Mold & Die Company in Leominster for over 32 years before his retirement. He was a talented handy man. He was a member of Saint Anna's Parish. He enjoyed watching western movies. He leaves his wife of 59 years, Jeannette (Mazzarella) Valente; three sons, Salvatore Valente of Leominster, Alexander Valente and his wife, Donna of Leominster, and Robert Valente of Fort Myers, FL; 4 brothers, Robert Valente and Richard Valente, both of Arlington, Joseph Lo Presti and James Lo Presti; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Maria Donna Osborn on December 19, 2007, and several brothers, and sisters. VALENTE The funeral will be held Friday, September 19, from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster. Burial will follow in Saint Leo's Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, September 18, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
