Middleton, CT Albert R. "T Boy" Richard, 70, of Cromwell, beloved brother of Terry DeBarge passed away on Saturday, September 27th following a long illness. Born on April 5, 1938 in Leominster, he was the son of the late Eva Richard.
Al joined the Air Force in 1962, proudly serving twenty years before retiring in 1982. During that time, he served at bases across the country and in both Eastern and Western Europe. He recently retired from Luther Ridge in Middletown after 12 years as an attendant. He was a parishioner of St. John Church in Cromwell and also served as Eucharistic Minister. Al will always be remembered for his smile, kindness and sense of humor.
Besides his sister, he leaves his loving family, a niece, Cathy DeBarge of Cromwell; three nephews, Dean DeBarge and his wife, Debbie of Newington, Michael DeBarge of Portland, and Ron DeBarge and his wife, Tori of Wethersfield; and eight great nieces and nephews, James, Andrew, Matthew, Jackie, Rachel, Julie, Erica and Daniel. Al will also be missed by a very special aunt, Raymonde Richard of MI, an uncle, Raymond Richard and his wife, Shirley of FL, and cousins, Carol Tellier, Joan Dimarzio, Bobby Cross, all of Leominster, MA, John Richard of Michigan, Mary Richard of Worcester, MA and Raymond Richard of CA and many, many friends.
RICHARD A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 10:00 am at St John Church, 5 St. John Court, Cromwell and interment will follow in the State Veteran Cemetery in Middletown. Please go directly to church Saturday morning. Friends may call at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations in Al's memory to St. John Church, 5 St. John Court, Cromwell, CT 06416 or Holy Apostles Seminary, 33 Prospect Hill Road, Cromwell, CT 06416.
