Dear Mom,

If it weren't for you would we have......

* Grown up to be the people we are today?
* The best siblings that siblings can have?
* Gone to a catholic school?
* Learned right from wrong from one who just knew what right and wrong was?
* Had clean clothes everyday?
* Had food on the table when things were tough?
* Been taught how to make our bed, wash our clothes, the dishes, the floors etc?
* Learned what hard work was and our work ethics?

I for one, very much doubt it.

And if it weren't for us, maybe you would've gotten your drivers license!

What a great life you have given and shared with us all.
Is the world a better place because of you, I most certainly think it is!
Just one look at what you have brought into it, is the testimonial.

May you rest in peace, now and forever.

Ma,

Just the sound of Ma, that word and how many times you had to answer to it is unbelievable, but thank God you did.
When I think back of all the good times that our family had and how you would make sure that we would have a good breakfast, clean and warm clothes, in the winter gloves and boots, school lunches, homework in hand and bus tickets not for just one BUT all 9 of us is incredible. Then on EVERY Sunday it was a clean white shirt with suit and tie; oh how hard you worked, and you always looked so beautiful yourself. You were the cornerstone of our lives and we will never forget you, I will miss you and I love you. Thank you. Rest in Peace Mom.

Dear Ma,

In the years of growing up on Wanoosnoc Rd. I can recall you telling me more than once that "life is a long and hard row to hoe." As a younger boy I thought you were saying "life is a long and hard road to home," and as a younger boy, I didn't know what the heck you were talking about in either case. As I grew older I came to realize your blurb of words had real meaning and you were using them as an analogy to the gardening you loved so well; road was row and home was hoe and by golly you need to keep the weeds and rocks and bad soil out of your row, as one should do in life. You taught us it's not always easy but we need to keep on hoeing. You taught all of us that ma. In fact you taught us much, much, more. But this "row to hoe" analogy has always floated near the surface of my mind. And now Ma you are finished hoeing and your row is done - and such a clean and straight row it is. With your deep spiritual belief and love of God I only see you in one place now and that is on your "road to home".

Rest in Peace Ma. I love you.

Peter
