Rose Cordio Obituary

Rose Cordio of Fitchburg, Madonna Church member; 81 FITCHBURG Rose Cordio, 81, of Fitchburg, died Tuesday, September 30, in the Golden Living Center, after an illness. She was born January 30, 1927, in Fitchburg, daughter of the late Dominic and Alice (Gadoury) Cordio. She worked for Independent Lock Company, and was a nurse's aide at Burbank Hospital. She was a member of Madonna of the Holy Rosary Church, and enjoyed ceramics. She was predeceased by her brother, Anthony Cordio in 1975. She leaves her nephew, Garry M. Cordio and his wife, Vivian of Ashby and their children, Marie Cordio of Ashby, and Bruce Cordio of Fitchburg; two nieces, Gail Richard and her husband, George and their son, Mark of Philipston, and Laura Lee Koski of Rindge, NH and her children, Jera Lee Pare of Greenville, NH and Jeret Koski of West Palm Beach, FL; two step nieces, Darlene and Kim. CORDIO The funeral will be held Monday, October 6, from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Madonna of the Holy Rosary Church, 118 Theresa St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the funeral Monday, October 6, from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
