Mary Walker Obituary

Mary B. Walker of Fitchburg, formerly of Lowell; 88 Fitchburg Mary B. (Stavropoulos) Walker, 88, of Fitchburg, died September 30,2008 in Golden Living Center after an illness. She was born on January 6,1920 in Lowell to Michael and Despo (Tsimalais) Stavropoulos and was raised in Lowell. She has lived in Fitchburg, for many years. Mary was a housekeeper for several private homes throughout the area for 20 years and had to retire due to illness. She lived at the Wallace Towers in Fitchburg for several years. She is survived by her daughters Mary Ann Thompson in Florida, Dannielle Genovese in Kingston N.H. and Helena Chaban in Fitchburg; a sister Sophie Schultz in Leominster; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with many nephews and nieces. Her husband Raymond Walker died in 2000. WALKER A graveside service will be held on Friday Oct. 10, 2008 at 12 noon in St. Bernard's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Lavery Chartrand & Alario Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., is assisting the family.
