Cecile G. Therrien

Cecile G. Therrien longtime Fitchburg resident, seamstress; 93 Fitchburg Cecile G. (Landry) Therrien, 93, of Fitchburg, died Thursday, October 9, 2008, in Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley, Littleton, MA, after an illness. She was born on December 31,1914, in Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Alfred and Rose (Boucher) Landry, and came to live in Fitchburg in 1940 at age 25. She worked at the former Foster Grant Co. of Leominster, as a lens inserter for 20 years and retired over 30 years ago. She was a fine seamstress since the age of 7 and had made clothing for many residents of Fitchburg and surrounding areas for many years. She also worked for Asher Pants in Fitchburg. Cecile was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She is survived by her three sons, Andre Therrien and his wife, Elaine of Fitchburg, Laurent "Larry" Therrien and his wife, Elaine of Hubbardston, MA, and Francis Therrien and his wife, Miffy of Fitchburg; her daughters, Lauraine and her husband, Francis Blanchard of Fitchburg, MA, Therese and her husband, Ron King of Holden, MA; her brother, Paul Landry in Montreal, Canada; and her sisters, Alice Bolduc in Florida, Lucie LePage, Jeanne Cervinek, and Therese Burgoinne, all of Canada; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. THERRIEN The funeral will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2008 from the Lavery Chartrand & Alario Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., Fitchburg, MA with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 81 Sheridan St., Fitchburg. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday morning at the funeral home from 8:45 until 9:45 a.m.
