Irene Fitchburg Obituary

Irene M. Allard Fitchburg, retired from local auto dealer; 76 FITCHBURG Irene M. (Jarrosak) Allard, 76, of Fitchburg, MA, died Thursday, October 9, 2008, at UMass Memorial Healthcare Hospital, Worcester, MA, after an illness. She was born on February 23,1932 to Fritz and Anna (Wynarowski) Jarrosak in Rutland, Vermont. She was raised in Rutland and attended school there. She was a graduate of West Rutland High School in 1950. She came to live here in Fitchburg, MA in 1969. She attended Mt. Wachusett Community College and Atlantic Union College. Irene had worked 11 years with the elderly before going to work at Lunenburg Ford and then North End Suburu. She was an office clerk there for 28 years and retired in 2005. She was very athletic and enjoyed playing golf with her husband, Harold. She most enjoyed taking care of her children as they were growing up. She had attended St. Cecilia's Church in Leominster, MA. She is survived by her husband, Harold W. Allard; her three sons, George W. Allard and his wife, Suzanne of Rindge, N.H., David J Allard and his wife, Nora of Fitchburg, MA, Harold J. "Hal" Allard and his wife, Linda of Fitchburg, MA; her daughter, Sheryl-Ann Femino of Fitchburg, MA; three brothers, Joseph, John, and twin brother, Bill, all of West Rutland, VT, a sister, Julia Wehren of South Windsor, CT; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Carl D. Allard who died in 1989. ALLARD A funeral service will be held in the Lavery Chartrand & Alario Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., Fitchburg, MA at 12 noon on Saturday, October 18, 2008. A visitation period will preceed the service from 11 a.m. until 12 noon. All other arrangements will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society,Mass Chapter, 495 Old Connecticut Path, Suite 220, Framingham, MA 10605.
