Regina Cardamone Obituary

Regina Cardamone of West Columbia, SC, formerly of Leominster West Columbia, SC Mrs. Regina (Piermarini) Cardamone passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2008. Born on December 21, 1923, in Leominster, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Nicolina Piermarini. She was co-owner, with her husband Luigi, of Luigi's Italian Kitchen in West Columbia, from 1962 to 1985. She was recognized for her famous Italian salad dressing, and was featured in several newspaper and magazine articles, and also for her famous lasagna and garlic bread, which was enjoyed by many in the Columbia area, including past governors, sports celebrities, as well as several senators and congressmen. Her warm heart and exceptional cooking abilities will be greatly missed. She will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by her sons, John L and his wife Sharon Cardamone of Cayce, and Louis J. Cardamone of West Columbia; her sisters, Florence Fallon and Mary Piermarini, and one brother, Lawrence Piermarini, all of Leominster; and grand-daughters, Michelle Eden of West Columbia and Nicole Cardamone of Charlotte, NC. She was predeceased by her parents, by her husband of 55 years, Louis J. Cardamone, Sr., and brothers Gino Piermarini and Ned Piermarini. Services held at the convenience of the family.
