Lillian Oates Obituary

Lillian R. McCluskey Oates of Leominster, St. Cecilia member; 95 LEOMINSTER Lillian R. (Beaulac) McCluskey Oates, 95, of Leominster, died Tuesday morning, October 21, 2008, in Sterling Health Care Sterling, MA, after an illness. Lillian was born on February 7,1913, in Fitchburg, MA, the daughter of Isreal and Josephine (Beauregard) Beaulac. She was one of 13 children. She was raised in Fitchburg, and then moved to Athol, MA in 1944 where she then married her late husband Earl Oates who predeceased her in 1991. While living in Athol, she went to work for the L.S. Starrett Co. She worked there until her retirement in 1968. She then moved to Leominster and has lived there for the past 40 years. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Church. She is survived by her son, Robert P. and his wife, Constance (Landry) McCluskey; two grandsons, Stephen P. McCluskey and his wife, Sharon, and Richard A. "Rick" McCluskey and his wife, Frances, all of Fitchburg, MA; three great-grandchildren, Erin Elkins and her husband, Josh, Andrew McCluskey, and Stephanie McCluskey; along with several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her 6 brothers and 6 sisters, and her great-grandson, Joseph R. "Joey" McCluskey in 1988. McCLUSKEY OATES At the request of Lillian, there are no planned funeral services. There are no calling hours. She will be Inurned in St. Joseph's Cemetery. on a later date at the convenience of her family. Donations may be made to Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 414421, Boston, MA 02241 in memory of her great-grandson, Joey McCluskey. The Lavery Chartrand & Alario Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., is directing the arrangements.

My thoughts & prayers for all her loved ones! I knew Lil thats how she liked to be called. She was a wonderful person! She was so sweet & always so happy. No matter what she always smiled. I will always remember her!

I only knew Lillian for two weeks since she was my mother's room mate in the Sterling Healthcare Center and we just loved her. My whole family was sadden by her passing. She is in our thhoughts and prayers. Love Jospehine Martin and family, Clinton, Ma
