Albert Valliere Obituary

Albert E. Valliere, Jr. of Leominster, was Ashby store manager; 64 LEOMINSTER Albert E. Valliere, Jr., "Big Al", 64 years old, of Leominster, died Tuesday, October 28, 2008, in HealthAlliance-Leominster Hospital, after an illness. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jean M. (DelleChiaie) Valliere; his mother, Welthy (Burns) Valliere of Leominster; 2 sons, Keith A. Valliere and his wife, Denise Valliere of Leominster, and Daniel J. Valliere and his companion, Lisa Iwaniuk of Leominster; 2 brothers, Dean Valliere of Leominster, and Bruce Valliere of Shrewsbury; 2 sisters, Lois Wortley and Sharon Davi, both of Leominster; 5 grandchildren, Tyler Valliere, Alyssa Valliere, Kayla Valliere, Ashley Valliere and Kassidy Valliere; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Valliere was born in Fitchburg, on November 23, 1943, son of Albert E. and Welthy (Burns) Valliere, Sr., and was a lifelong resident of Leominster. He graduated from Leominster High School in 1961. He had worked at the former Union Products in Leominster for 15 years before managing Big Al's Package and Variety Store in Ashby for over 27 years. He was a member of the Leominster Sportsmen's Club, and was a longtime scorer at the Leominster Adult Softball League. Big Al was an avid collector of baseball card and guns. VALLIERE Funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. The Silas F.
