Carmela Ceruto Obituary

Carmela R. (Buono) Ceruto "A celebration of life" LEOMINSTER Carmela R. (Buono) Ceruto, 72 years old, of Leominster, died Saturday, November 22, 2008, in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She is survived by her husband, Robert D. Ceruto; her 2 daughters, Diana Tamulevich of Athol, and Cathy Garland of Rindge, NH; her son, John Ceruto of Leominster; 2 brothers, Anthony Buono and Ralph Buono, both of Leominster. She was predeceased by 2 brothers. Frank Buono and Gabriel Buono, and 5 sisters, Theresa Voyles, Anna Meza, Angelina Baldini, Dolores Colecchi and Rita Cordio. Carmela was born in Leominster on July 16, 1936, daughter of Achille and Bernadina (Simonetti) Buono, and had lived in St. Petersburg, FL for 12 years before returning to Leominster in 1981. She attended St. Bernard's High School in Fitchburg, and was a member of St. Anna's Church in Leominster. "Three things will last forever, faith, hope, and love and the greatest of these is love" 1 Corinthians 13:13. Carmela loved with a passion unsurpassed by most people. She opened her arms and door to everyone and a special warmth and joy could be felt in her presence. We praise God for Carmela because she showed us how to celebrate life to the fullest. Carmela loved people and, in her eyes, you could do no wrong. Carmela's life was a blessing to her family and friends and even to strangers she met along the way. She loved to celebrate the holidays and decorated every inch of her home. Her life was a celebration full of laughter and joy but most of all, love. Carmela was a devoted and caring wife to her loving husband, Robert, for 52 years and will be greatly missed. After her husband, her greatest joy in life was her children Diana, Cathy, John, and her grandchildren Michael, Breandan, Kara, Larissa, Krista, Charlene, and Jayce. She recieved happiness from all of them in different ways and opened her heart to them whenever needed. Please join us in celebrating Carmela's life because this, over all else, was her wish. "When I pass, I want no tears. I have been blessed with an incredible, loving full life. When I pass, I want no tears, I want a big celebration." CERUTO A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 in St. Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster at a time to be announced. Burial in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon will be at a later date. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 6-8 pm in the Silas F. I will miss seeing Carmela at the store, she always would stop by to say Hello and while she was there, buy some scratch tickets. The most loving and warm women I will never forget.
