Mary Cormier Obituary

Mary G. Cormier of Leominster; 81 Leominster Mrs. Mary G. (Spagnuola) Cormier, 81, of Leominster, surrounded by her devoted, loving family and friends, died peacefully in her daughter's home in Bolton after a long illness. Mary enjoyed a wonderful marriage for over 60 years to Alfred A. Cormier "Pete", whom she first met when she was 16 years old. Together, they devoted their lives to raising their three children, son, Alan of Boxboro, daughter, Tina of Bolton and son, Gary of Cambridge, MA. In addition to their children, Mary leaves all of their companions, Luann Carnivale, Lulu Giancola and Edward Stuart. Mary is predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Josephine (Pandiscio) Spagnuola of Fitchburg, as well as her brothers, Joseph & Anthony Spagnuola. She is survived by her brother, Constantino ("Dino") Spagnuola, her sister Antoinette ("Jenny") Atkinson, both of Fitchburg and her youngest sister, Teresa ("Lilly") Spagnuola of Leominster. She also leaves her three grandchildren as well as five great grandchildren. Mary was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend to everyone who knew her. Her home was the place she loved most, where she was an excellent homemaker. She was beautiful, kind, loving and full of fun. To say she will be missed is an understatement. CORMIER The Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, November 29, at 10:00am in Saint Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Calling hours are Friday, November 28, from 4 to 7pm in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd, Fitchburg.

Dear Pete and family,
I'm so sorry to hear about Mary's passing. I work at Dr. Tourigny's office and I had the pleasure of meeting Mary six years ago, and she quickly became one of my FAVORITE patients to see! It is very rare to see a couple such as Pete and Mary. The love they showed each other was heartwarming. After over 60 yrs of marriage they still had that "glow" in their eyes.
Mary will be sadly missed. I know you all have been taking such great care of her, as she deserved. She was so lucky to have a caring family like she did. She was so proud of each and every one of you.
I will never forget her.
