Lenora Andreucci Obituary

Lenora E. Andreucci lifelong Fitchburg resident; 90 Fitchburg Lenora "Nona" E. (Hart) Andreucci, 90, died Monday, December 1, 2008 in the Leo LaChance Center in Gardner, after a long illness. Her husband of 44 years, Samuel J. Andreucci, died in 1981. She was born in Fitchburg on June 13, 1918, a daughter of the late Willis E., and Margaret (Lenz) Hart, and lived here all of her life. Mrs. Andreucci was a Department Store Manager for 30 years, working for the former Stuarts Dept. Store, the former Zayers Dept. Store and finally for the former Bradlees Dept.Store, where she retired in 1983. She and her husband owned the Stateline Camping Grounds in Fitzwilliams, N.H., for 27 years. She was a member of St. Anthony di Padua Parish in Fitchburg, attended Fitchburg High School, was a member of the Fitchburg Senior Center and its' Friends of the Senior Citizen's Center, the Booster Club the Retired Woman's Association, the Golden Age, and the Order of the Sons of Italy in America, Cristoforo Colombo Regina Elena Lodge #169. She leaves two daughters, Judith B. Hammerbeck, and her husband, Richard A., of Leominster and Bonita W. Andreucci of Delaware; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. ANDREUCCI Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, December 4, from the Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli Funeral Home, 243 Water St., Fitchburg, with a Mass at 11am in St. Anthony di Padua Church, 84 Salem St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Fitchburg. Calling hours at the Funeral Home are 9:30 to 10:45am on Thursday, December 4, 2008. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, Ma. 02472 or to the American Cancer Society, 350 Plantation St., Worcester, Ma. 01604 or may be left at the Funeral Home. My mother worked for Mrs. A at Bradlees and she was the best boss imaginable. Every night my mom would come home laughing and talking about her day and the irrepresible "Mrs. A" She was quite a woman.
