She was born on Aug. 28, 1928, in Leominster, the daughter of Edward F. and Olivine (Morin) Dower, and lived in Leominster all of her life. Beverly had attended school in Leominster, and was a graduate of St. Bernard’s Central Catholic High School Class of 1946. She worked for New England Telephone for several years as an operator and retired many years ago. She loved sports, playing cards and traveled the world with her late husband Bill. She was a member of St. Leo’s Church in Leominster.
She leaves two brothers, John R. “Jack” Dower and his wife, Virginia, of Fitchburg and Richard T. Dower and his wife, Carolyn, also of Fitchburg; one sister, Carol F. Morin of Leominster; and several nephews , nieces, greatnephews and greatnieces. She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Caruso, who died in 2002; two brothers, Francis J. Dower and James B. Dower; and seven sisters, Bernadette Veasey, Theresa Tumbar, Mary I. Clouthier, Gloria O. Haiduk, Pauline Dauphinais, Rita Suchocki and Dorothy Lorion.
CARUSO -- The funeral will be held on Monday, Nov. 12, from the Lavery Chartrand & Alario Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., Fitchburg, with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Leo’s Church, 128 Main St., Leominster. Intermant will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Fitchburg. A calling hour will be held at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The St. Leo’s Restoration Fund, 128 Main St., Leominster, MA 01453.
