Frederick Fritz Obituary

FREDERICK FRITZ MELBOURNE Frederick J. Fritz, 82, of Mel bourne, FL died on Sunday, August 24, 2008, from compli cations of Parkinsons disease. Frederick was the son of Walter and Grace Fritz of Honesdale, PA. Frederick graduated from Honesdale High School in 1944. In 1949 he graduated from the United States Military Academy, West Point. He served in the Korean War. After the com pletion of his mil itary service he joined IBM, where he was a senior staff engineer for 28 years. Frederick is a member of the Masonic Lodge no. 218 in Honesdale, PA., also life long member of Lions Club Inter national. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary S. Fritz; son, Frederick II and wife Dorothy of Lake Worth, FL; grand sons, Jonathan and wife Julie of Cape Canaveral, FL, Brian of Port St. John, FL; two brothers, Walter and Col. William Fritz, also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Spencer B. Fritz. A gathering will be held Fri day, August 29, 2008 from 3 to 4 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate his life will follow at 4 p.m., at Beach Funeral Home West Chapel, 4999 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne/ Suntree. Internment will be at later date, and will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Parkinson Disease Foun dation. Beach Funeral Home West Chapel Melbourne/Suntree is in charge of local arrange ments.
