As with many others, I'll remember Bob because of his selflessness in working with people in general. It was truly an honor and privilege to have his involvement with the TNT program. His caring personality is reflected strongly in all the members of his family - and is in itself a great legacy to have left behind. He and Elaine have done a phenomenal job in raising their children. He will definitely be missed.

Bob was such a kind and generous person. We loved working with him and his family at all the swim meets. It was great times with TNT and watching his daugher,Melinda, develop into a great swimmer. Bob was such a hard worker and you couldn't but be enthusiastic about swimming when you were around him. Elaine and family..we are so very sorry for your loss. He will be missed

Bob was such a wonderful and generous person. I met him while I was a young swimmer with TNT swimming, along with his daughter Melinda. Bob was a great support and terrific person to have at swim meets. My thoughts are with all of the Mattes family during this difficult time.
