Angela, Jim, Danielle, Kailey, Cameron and all of the members of the extended Towers and Haddock families:
You've all been in my thoughts and prayers from the moment I heard about baby Evan. My heart aches for you. When I watch Brianne's beautiful video tribute to Evan, I am struck with sadness for the loss of such a sweet child. Your entire family has always been an inspiration to me. You have an amazing bond. Your children are all so loving and happy. You are wonderful parents. It's hard to understand why we only had Evan for such a short time, and how people of great faith can have their faith so tested. Yet it is that same faith that offers us comfort in knowing that our loved ones are still with us in spirit, and we will one day be reunited with them. I will continue to pray for you and keep you in my thoughts.

Jim, Angela, Danielle, Kailey, and Cameron,

We feel inadequate in properly expressing our sorrow for your loss. Please know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers. We love you guys!!!

I know you will be reunited with your sweet boy. The knowledge of Eternal Families is wonderful.

We have such wonderful memories of Evan. His infectious smile during sacrament meeting gave us great entertainment. I have also enjoyed him in Nursery: his hugs, the phone calls to one of his sisters or brother during play time, and recently, his heart warming rendition of "I Am A Child of God" during music.

He was truly a larger than life baby. His love and smile will forever be in our hearts.

Our family's love and prayers will continue to be with your family.

Love,
Troy, Vicki, Jordan, Colby, Connor, Tanner and Ally Ebanks

Jim and Angela,

Today I feel truly honored that I was able to meet your incredibly precious little boy this summer. He was a complete joy and I of course say "little" lightly because the truth is that Evan was big! Big in personality and in spirit. Too big for his crib and too big for the limitations of this earth. He can now soar with the angels... but I will miss him. A lot.

You will be reunited with him again! What a blessing it is to know that! I hope from my deepest soul that you guys will find the comfort that you need to get through this difficult journey. I love you both, as do so many others. You and your family will always be in my prayers.

I love you all,
Kiera

Dear Haddock and Towers Families,
It is with great sorrow for your loss and great love and admiration for your family that we write these words to you. As parents and grandparents ourselves it is difficult to fathom the various emotions you are experiencing at this time, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. It is encouraging to know and feel the solace provided in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as evidenced in these words by President Monson; "Through tears and trials, through fears and sorrows, through the heartache and loneliness of losing loved ones, there is assurance that life is everlasting. Our Lord and Savior is the living witness that such is so."
Please know that we are at your service at any time, please don’t hesitate to call on us if anything at all is needed.

August 13, 2008

Jim, Angela and family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We loved watching Evan follow his dad around in Sacrament meeting as the members were counted each Sunday. His smile was surely infectious!
I know what you are going through, having lost a daughter 21 years ago this month to a drowning accident.
It is so hard to contemplate when such a young child is taken home to Heavenly Father, but having the gospel is a great comfort. Knowing that we will be able to be with our loved ones again certainly does help.
If you ever need a friend, no matter what time day or night, please do not hesitate to call me. We love you all very much, although we haven't had much time to really get to know you. David and I loved teaching the girls in Primary and we will miss seeing your family on Sundays with the new changes. But please be assured, you will always be in our thoughts.
Evan was greatly loved by all in the ward and will continue to be loved. He is in a great place and will be watching over his family until you are all reunited.

Love,
David and Karen Lyons

Dear Angela, Jim and Family,

Words are hard to come by but please know you have been in our thoughts and prayers continually. Our heart aches for you during this most difficult time but know that our Father in Heaven is there to comfort you at every turn. We are grateful to know that a way has been provided that your family will be re-united with Evan one day. His spirit lives on; his life has touched so many.

We send our love to each of you.

To the Haddock & Towers families:

We just wanted to say publicly that we love you and our prayers the past few days have had you all in the forefront of our supplications to our Heavenly Father.

It is a parent's worst nightmare to lose a child so young and we hope that you feel our love during this trying time.

There is no need to blame or feel guilty. Our family wishes only peace as you suffer the loss of little Evan at this time. As you know, Heavenly Father has great trust in you and your children to handle this great trial.

In explaining what has happend to Evan to our own children, we have remembered D&C 137:10 that states that all children who pass away before the age of accountability shall be received into heaven immediately. Surely little Evan is one of these.

We have also found comfort in knowing, as you do, that our Savior has suffered all things for us-including our sicknesses, our sorrows, our griefs, and our mourning. (Alma 7:11-12) May you find that peace that our Savior, Jesus Christ, has to offer.

Please let us know if you need anything!

Even though our families do not know each other, my heart aches for you all on the loss of your dear sweet child. I can only imagine the pain you are going through and will be sending prayers up for you and the rest of the family to help during this time of grief and in the days ahead.

August 13, 2008

Jim, Angela, Ed, Marsha and all the Haddock and Towers Family. Debbie and I wish to express our deepest condolences for your loss. I wish that there was more I could say to help comfort you through this, yet I trust that the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the plan of salvation is a great comfort in itself.

We no doubt have asked many times why those that we love so much are taken from us in such a short time. It is comforting to know that the great plan of salvation ensures us that we can be together again as a family.

Yet even still the grief that follows such a loss can be so great. Even so, know that you are loved by many, Debbie and I for one.

Jim, I served with your father and got to know the entire Haddock family very well during that short time. The Haddock family is and will always be respected and loved by Debbie and I.

Again, I only wish I could say more to help comfort you. I will say that my prayers go out to you and the entire family at this time of grieving.

May our Heavenly Father comfort everyone of you, is my prayer.
