Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Amanda N. Pinson US Army Sergeant.
We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.
We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,

I was stationed with Amanda Pinson when I was assigned as an instructor at Fort Huachuca but was on deployment orders tasked organized with the 101st Airborne Division from Dec 2005 to Dec 2006. Amanda Pinson actually trained me on the tasks and skills she learned as a Soldier when ever we collaborated information in the work place. I was amazed at how much spirit, motivation, and knowledge this super troop displayed. SGT Pinson was an amazing, beautiful, lady and I know that her parents are proud.

Follow The Rainbow To Heaven.

A Soldier had die out on the
battlefield;
Broken hearts are weeping For
Them,
But take comfort of knowing
that God had sent Them a
rainbow from heaven;
The Souls of the Soldiers
have gone to there home
in heaven,
Our Loved One's has follow
God's lovely rainbow in the
sky;
All the way to the end of the
sky.
That leads all the way to the
other end of the Lord's
house in heaven,
So just keep on praying and
trust that God will send us

it is still hard for me to come and say how much I miss you Amanda, the last time I shall you was in Washington D.C. at GEOBOOT we had so much fun during that time and only 5 months later I along with many others received an email from you telling us you were going to Iraq. Me never thinking you were in harms way and while on my own deployment only 4 months in learned that you were gone. I have finally gathered enough courage to remember you and all the great things you had done but I still miss you so much. We only knew each other for a minimal amount of time yet you had a dramatic impact on my life forever. I’m so glad a person so special can be watching over us all and one day we will be so lucky enough to be with you again. Stephan Schroer

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

Amanda will always a soldier of GOD, and that HE will look down upon the strife this war has put upon friends and families that have to deal with this. I will always remember Amanda with her beautiful smile and how so much she loved her family like there is no tomorrow. I pray for the day we reach "UTOPIA" in this green earth, but war will not lead to it. I will pray for Sgt. Pinson, her family and all who are hurt by war. Be mindful of her accomplishments every day that we see an American flag.....

I met Amanda in Basic Training. She was one of my roommates and one the greatest women that I have met. I didn't find out she had been killed until June or so. Unfortunately, word travels slowly. It wasn't until a mutual friend of ours found her memorial page on MySpace and informed me that I knew she had paid the ultimate sacrifice. The trip of it all? I had orders to her unit. We were supposed to stationed together last June. We were supposed to deploy together. I think of her every day and I wonder, "What if?" Good people like her don't deserve to die. I miss her and I will always remember her fondly as the one who helped me with my situps in basics and sat down and cried with me when we missed our families.
Love you, chick. May God rest your soul.

I joined the MI DET of the 101 shortly before we deployed, and as a result, did not know Amanda well, as our wartime duties in different sections of the MI DET did not afford much time for conversation. But that would never stop her from trying to brighten up my day, or anyone else's. One night, I was in the chow hall line, alone, with a lot on my mind, and my outward appearance was one that must have seemed like I was depressed and upset. Amanda, whom I don't think I had ever exchanged more than a "hi" or "good morning" to while passing in the hall, noticed my facial expression, left her spot in line, and with a bright smile on her face came over to chat with me about how I was doing, and how things were going with work. Her kindhearted concern for someone she hardly knew says so much about the wonderful person that she was. Hearing about her from friends that knew her far better than I made me realize that this desire to help others was an integral part of Amanda's personality, and something that she did time and time again. It was an honor to serve with her.

To the Family of Sgt. Amanda N. Pinson:
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courgeous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life. We lost a son 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday.
I know first hand there are no words right now that will bring you the comfort and peace you need. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you mourn this loss. We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with. I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally, but none of these courageous men and women will be forgotten. They will never be able to be replaced, but sometime, someday your loving memories will help to sustain you. This courageous soldier will forever now be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well. To her family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss her, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by her presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is those wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever. If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero. God Bless this courageous soldier and family.

My sincerest sympathy to the family of a "Sister" Woman Veteran.
We here in Clarksville, TN, morn the loss of many from Fort Campbell, most of them young, all losses tragic. A woman doing a man's job -- and doing it well -- is especially Heroic.
Amanda's story touched me deeply. I, too, am a Graduate of Hancock High (1945) and served as a Sergeant in the Marine Corps (1950-1952) during the Korean Conflict. In those days, women were seldom called to make the Supreme Sacrifice. I am humbled by today's generation of female soldiers. They are extra special.
God Bless.

I remember Amanda from the first grade. We met in brownies. We were friends until i moved away from Hancock in fourth grade. I did not see her for many years until a high school basketball game and our schools played against each other. It was like not time had past we were still old friends. Then when I had decided to join the army, the recruiter asked me if I knew her and we began to work out together and prepare fpr basic. I knew I had a friend in her no matter how many years we were apart. Thank you for supporting our country. hooah

Some people say it's because she's beautiful and smart that she's honored as a hero. Well, I ask why such a beautiful and smart young woman (that could have a nice quiet life back home) wants to put her life at risk. To serve! Just because she was so beautiful and smart, she had the opportunity to choose...and still she choose the hard way. This woman will always be an example to all of us. God bless her soul.

To the family,
We all love Mandy and know she has affected many lives in a positive way. We miss her dearly, but we know she is near. She left part of her with everyone she met. We hold her dear to our hearts and will never allow her to be forgotten. She is a true American hero. I have only one regret; I never served beside her. I am proud that I wear one of her tags, and will never take it off. She will be with me every time I deploy as I continue on serving. She makes me proud to be a Soldier and proud to be an American. SGT Amanda N. Pinson. Gone...but never forgotten.

To Amanda's Family and Friends:
My heart goes out to all of you during this very hard time. I had the pleasure of serving with Amanda here in Iraq. I worked side by side with her for the last 7 months. Amanda was a shining star, not only in the work that she did fighting this war on terrorism, but also her personality. She was always there for anyone who needed her. Mandy was a very special type of person, that there are not enough of. She could always brighten my day, regardless of the mood I was in at the time. I am very thankful of the time that I got to spend with Amanda, from Ft Campbell to Germany and in Iraq. She was loved by everyone that met her, and she helped to make me a better person.
Know that all of us here with the Military Intelligence Detachment with the 501st STB in Tikrit are with you during this very hard time. Mandy was like a sister/daughter to every single one of us. Her legacy will go on in all of us.
WE LOVE YOU MANDY. Gods Speed!

I didn't know Amanda personally...which is truly my loss...but my daughter went to school with her. My daughter said she always looked up to Amanda. After seeing the number of family, friends and teachers honoring Amanda this past weekend, I can see she wasn't the only one.
I am so incredibly sorry for your family's loss. Amanda is truly a hero and always will be in our hearts, she will NOT be forgotten!

I do not even know where to begin. I can remember coming home from kindergarten and telling my mother that I have an new friend, I just love her, she is so cute. It was the truth. Mandy was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile and her sparkling personality could brighten anyone's day. I feel so lucky to have known her and I am absolutely honored to have been able to call her a friend. However, over the years I allowed for that friendship to fade, always assuming we would meet again and pick up where we left off, and for that I am terribly sorry.
For Chris, Tony, Genie, and Bryan, I can not even image what you are going through. I would just like to thank you for sharing such a wonderful person with the world. She certainly made the world a better place and she will never be forgotten.
For Mandy, I hope you know that I have always loved you and considered you a best friend. I am so very proud of you. I miss you and love you very much. You are forever in my thoughts and prayers. Until we meet again. XOXO
