H. Anderson Obituary

H. James Anderson, 46, of Legion Drive, Vernon, died Sunday, (April 13, 2003) in Ellington, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born in Manchester, the son of John and Patricia Anderson. James was a Vietnam War U.S. Army veteran. He was a painter and owner of Jeremy & Brothers Painting, and a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Stafford Springs. James is survived by his loving wife of 22 years of marriage, Elizabeth "Betty" (Schwanda) Anderson; four loving children, Jeremy, Sarah, Jonathan, and Jordan, all of Vernon; his parents John and Patricia (O'Reilly) Anderson of Enfield; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Eric Anderson of Connecticut, John and Betty Anderson; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Jerry Hutkin; a godson, Timothy Hutkin, all of New Jersey; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 17, at 10 a.m. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main Street, Stafford Springs, CT with Fr. Thomas Beck officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Anderson Children Education Fund, Stafford Savings Bank, c/o Rose Roszczewski, P.O. Box 25, Stafford Springs, CT 06076.

When I heard that Jim had died, the first thing I thought of was how much he loved Betty and his children. The next thing that flashed through my mind was his wonderful smile.
