August 25, 1979 - one of the best days of my life. Can't believe you would be 45 today. Love you so so much forever and ever.
You had a plan that we would both vacation together on a tropical island. I know you did that to cheer me up because you didn't really like beaches. I remember that especially because you were so sweet & caring about me.

Happy 45th Birthday, my precious daughter!! I miss you more & more as my life goes by & I feel all alone. But little things will happen on some days that make me feel closer to you. Like the song, "Take These Broken Wings" came on the radio one morning recently on my way to work & I absolutely felt your presence. I could feel you smiling & laughing, because you really didn't like that song & joked about it all the time. It brought a smile to my face.

Gina,
As I've pondered life over the years, I've wondered how much more enriched my life would be with You in it. I'm sure it's a million times darker than the beautiful light that emitted from your soul (you know what I'm talking about). I've missed you so over the years since your untimely departure. I guess God knew your light was much too bright for this earthly presence. I don't know how I was lucky enough to attract your attention or whether our friendship would have lasted throughout the years, but I felt so blessed that you wanted me in your life. Your light, beauty, brilliance, kindness and loving nature were truly one of a kind. I'm sure Chad, Caspar and your grandparent were so happy to be in your presence again and I'm positive you greeted them with that beautiful smile. My heart hurts for your parents and those who knew you much longer than I did. You left a hole in my heart and life and I only knew you very briefly. I can't even begin to imagine the pain they've endured over the years. You're sorely missed, my dear Gina.

Gina was my Gifted World Geography student the year you all moved to Greenwood. Through the years, I would keep up with her through the internet, but it was only recently that I learned´ was saddened by her passing in 2007. Please know that Gina was one of my students who I knew was destined for greatness & who held and will continue to hold a special place in my heart.

You were so creative and knitted these flowers. You always wanted me to learn to quilt so we could do our crafts together. I finally learned to do quilt tops during the pandemic. Sadly we can't do them together now, but I think of you all the time I am sewing.

One week not too long ago, I was walking on the beach & there were starfish everywhere- on the sand & in the water. It was quite a sight & I thought about your beautiful smiling face looking with delight at them. I thought about how very much I love you- much, much more than all those starfish & there were so many of them.

Happy 39th Birthday, my sweet daughter! I was remembering the day you were born & how open & wide your beautiful eyes were as if taking in all there was in the world. I think grief is the last act of love we have to give to those we loved. Where there is great grief, there was & is great love and oh how great it is.

Happy 38th Birthday My Precious Daughter!
I can't believe I've been without you for almost 10 years now. My heart is so empty for you & your brother and now I am close to a beach that I walk constantly to find some peacefulness when I am thinking about you. I am always reminded of your sweet smiling face that always thought of others. I'm not sure I remember many days you weren't smiling except maybe some of the last. Your dear friends keep in touch & I am reminded that your love was spread to so many. I picked this picture of you at one of your dance recitals. It makes me think of you in heaven.

Gina I thought of you yesterday. And Carson. To be quite honest, I couldn't remember if it was your birthday on the 25th or carsons because we used to celebrate both of you in August. He's sadly as gone too. I love you both and the memories we've made will always be some of the best. I keep a few of your things in my house so you are always living on- your Klimt poster is in my front living room, you lamp is on my desk in the office, I still use our coasters and forbid my two boys from playing with them. You'd think my boys are so cute- I can just imagine you calling them "very handsome". I honestly cannot imagine the grief of losing them. Your parents are incredibly strong. Love you. You are never really gone when someone loves you

My thoughts and prayers are with Gina, her friends and family. Gina was one of the brightest, most creative people I knew. She was gifted in so many areas. She also had a great insight into people and would have made a great psychologist. I will never forget her beautiful speech given at Cambridge’s graduation. The speech was not designed to show the auditorium how brilliant and impressive she was, which she could have easily done; instead, her speech was special because she found the good qualities in each of us to mention. She really made our classes, History, English, and Psychology, in particular, memorable. When I think of Gina, I will remember those breaks, mornings, and lunches spent outside our lockers cramming for a history test, learning about The Cure, sharing bad driving stories, laughing, crying, but mainly just being teenagers growing up and learning about who were. I learned a lot from Gina, and I am sorry her life has been cut so short.
