Ruby A. Snipes Resident of Hayward, CA Sunrise April 13, 1929 Sunset, Sunday, September 5, 2010 Ruby departed her earthly home on Sunday, September 5, 2010 after a brief illness. Leaving to cherish her precious memory; a beloved husband, Charles L. Snipes; three faithful and loving daughters; Ms. Denise Snipes (Hayward), Ms. Yvonne Hynes (Alameda), Mrs. Lyticia Banks (Mt. View, Ca), three adoring grandchildren; Brian Cato, Shelly Cato and Aleya Williams; five living siblings; Booker T. Hornbeak, Jr. (Oklahoma City), George Hornbeak (Stroud, OK), Robert Hornbeak (Dos Palos, CA), Leon Hornbeak (Fresno, CA), and Mrs. Linda Ferguson (Hilton Head Island, SC) Viewing will be held Sunday, Sept 12, 2010, 5-8 PM, Holy Angels Sorensen Chapel, 1140 "B" St, Hayward, CA. Funeral Services will be at 10 AM, Monday, September 13, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church, 1183 "B" St, Hayward, CA. Interment immediately following at Lone Tree Cemetery, 24591 Fairview Ave, Hayward, CA. Holy Angels Sorensen Chapel FD 126 510-581-1234

I grew up on the same block as Mrs. Snipes. She was a kind and generous woman. She always had time for me... even when I would randomly show up at her door for visits. She will be truly missed. Blessings to Mr. Snipes and the Snipes family.
