Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.

I Did Not Die

Do not stand at my grave and forever weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autums's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplighting rush of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and forever cry.
I am not there. I did not die.

Its been many years since I've seen my cousin, Rebecca, but the fond memories of her will always be embedded in my heart. May her family find peace in God's love and in knowing that she has been called home to be with our Father.

We first met Rebecca when our son joined the Livermore soccer team. She was the first to greet us and fill us in on what the team would be doing. We were impressed with her generosity, wit and just overall goodness. She along with her family are in our prayers and her presence touched us and many others in a way we will always remember.

Becky is my little cousin and we grew up and went our seperate ways, but I have fond memories of spending time at her parent's house playing barbies and swimming. She and her family would come see us in Gilroy and we would always be playing. Becky had such beautiful eyes. We actually saw eachother several times a year. Uncle Bob and Aunt Josie were my Godparents. I am sorry I lost contact, but I would like for her children to know that there was a time that the whole Jacob's side of her family spent alot of time together when we were young and their mother was part of a huge extended family that love her, we are all very saddened by her loss. I will love you always Becky, may you Rest In Peace and may God bless your children and keep them happy and safe always.

I was a classmate of Rebecca at Livermore High School (1985). My date and I went to our Senior Ball with her and her date. I also had the pleasure of working with Rebecca at the Velvet Creamery during our high school days. Even though I never saw her after High School, I always remeber her as an incredibly kind and generous person and I am truly saddened to hear of her passing. My heart goes out to her family...may God bless you all and give you peace. ~David Francis
