Manuel Vicente Ganansa Sept. 16, 1931 - Oct. 16, 2010 Resident of Castro Valley Manuel Ganansa passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 16, 2010 after a prolonged illness. He is survived by his wife of 53 years , Dolores , two daughters: Diane Moresi and Karen Ganansa, two grandchildren, Katie and Paul Moresi, 2 sisters, Maria Gutierrez and Martha Abreu and many nieces and nephews. Manuel was born in Santa Luzia, Funchal, Madeira to Manuel Ganansa and Virginia Correia. He was retired member of the Operating Engineers, Union Local # 3 and member of Transfiguration parish. He enjoyed traveling, boating and camping. Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation Thursday, Oct. 21, from 4:00-8:00 pm with a vigil service at 7:00 pm at Jess C. Spencer Mortuary, 21228 Redwood Road, Castro Valley. Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 22 at 10:00am at Transfiguration Church, 4000 E. Castro Valley Blvd, Castro Valley with entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Following the entombment a celebration of Manuel's life will be held at Transfiguration Parish Hall. Jess C.
