Charles Henshaw Obituary

Charles Frederick Gerald Henshaw Our little brother passed away after a 3½year struggle with cancer. He fought long and hard but lost the battle at 5am on August 4th, 2010. Charles was born in Montreal, Canada on November 2, 1957 and grew up in Piedmont, California. Charles graduated from Piedmont High School in 1975. His most recent job was at the historic Holbrooke Hotel in Grass Valley, California where he was once voted employee of the year. Charles was a member of the Clampers and enjoyed the events associated with them. He loved to tinker with engines and electronics. He was an excellent chess player and was passionate about heavy metal music, Metalica and AC DC being two of his favorites. He was a voracious reader of all genre particularly science fiction and Star Trek. Charles was preceded in death by his father George L.G. Henshaw in 1998. He is survived by his mother Patricia L. Henshaw Sedona, Arizona and siblings Barbara Backyard (Gail) Phoenix, Arizona; Deidre Henshaw Ness (Kevin) Oakland, California; Geoffrey Henshaw Auburn, California; Evan Henshaw Plath (Gabriela) Montevideo, Uruguay; Timothy Henshaw Plath Arcata, California. Stepmother Joyce Plath Arcata, California. Nieces Tara Henshaw and Lilith Rodriguez Henshaw; nephews Daniel Henshaw and Camilo Rodriguez Henshaw. A celebration of Charles's life will be held on November 20th, 2010 at 4pm Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave Oakland, CA For more information email [email protected]
