Patricia Gowin Obituary

In memory of Patricia A. Gowin Apr. 7, 1930 - Oct. 30, 2010 Resident of Union City Patricia (Lindley) was born in Nebraska and moved to California to teach school. She married Kenneth Gowin in 1953. He was the love of her life for 57 years. Pat found joy in her family, God, the ocean, mountains and her garden. She loved and was loved in return by her husband Ken; children Pam (Steve), David (Cindy), Scott (Tammie) and Kimberly (Steve); grandchildren Zachary, Karla, Jessica, Madison, Jeremy, Shala, BradLee, and Jordan; great grandchildren Trevor, Kylee, Trenton, Alexia, Makayla, Joshua, Christina, Edward, Jon and Hope; sister Peggy (Frank) and brother Bruce (Doris); and nieces and nephews Kristi, Kathi, Kent, Karen, Jill, Jan, Jerry and Jean. Pat's family is very grateful to Vilma for the loving care she provided to Pat. Her family is honoring Pat's wishes by not holding a funeral service. Friends and family may honor Pat by contributing to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org/join_the_cause_donate.asp

My thoughts and prayers are with Kimberly and all of her family. Your mom was one of those larger than life people and she will be missed. She left a wonderful legacy in her children and grandchildren. My love to all of you

If the "apple doesn't fall far from the tree", we can be sure that Pat was a kind and loving person. We have only known her son, Scott, but his humor, generousity, and caring reflect back to Pat's spirit. We are so sorry for the family's loss.
