Mary Jean Anson July 15, 1928 - Oct 26, 2010 Resident, Hayward & Tracy Mary Jean Anson (82) passed away peacefully on October 26 at her home in Tracy, Ca. Preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Eugene Anson Sr. She is survived by her daughters Mary Schalck, and Susan Gillespie, sons Eugene Anson, Christopher Anson and Timothy Anson. Grandmother of Sunny Hudson, John Shottenkirk, Jamie Anson, Jonathan Schalck, Casey Anson and Joseph Anson. Beloved sister of Betty Harris-Cunniffe, Barbara Anderson and Ruth Britt. Niece Angela Campbell and nephew Alexander Campbell. Born and raised in Missouri, she moved to Oakland, California in 1943. Graduated from University High and Merritt Business College in Oakland. Proudly employed by Pacific Bell and AT&T for 20 years. Long time parishioner of St. Bede's Catholic Church in Hayward and at the time of her passing a parishioner of St. Bernard's in Tracy. Passions and hobbies included gardening, sewing, crossword puzzles, reading, politics and sports. Lifetime member of the Communication Workers of America, past member of the Women's Circle at St. Bede's Church and the Tracy chapter of the Widowed Persons Association of California. Visitation will be held on Monday November 8, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm, with a Vigil and Rosary Service at 7:00 pm, at Holy Angels Funeral & Cremation Center, 1051 Harder Rd, Hayward, CA 94542. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday November 9, 2010 at 11:00 am, at St. Bede Church, Hayward. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward Holy Angels Funeral & Cremation Center FD1456 (510) 537-6600
